I watched a show the other night about spontaneous human combustion. I've seen it before, but wondered what everyone else's thoughts were on it? If you've seen this show (I think it was on Discovery), their last theory where they burned a pig carcas w/ a tiny amount of fuel seemed palusible. This particular experiment seemed to recreate the strange effects of SHC - including the body burning to ashes and yet items in the room never went up in flames; the TV only melted, etc.

Theories for this have been all over the place, including Kundalini, Lay Lines in the earth, God's punishment for being a drunkard , etc.

I have seen this show too. I just don't know. I think it's a physical phenomenon not related to anything, psychic or paranormal, just that we don't understand it and the power of our own minds and bodies. I think under the right circumstances, body chemistry, atmospheric conditions and whatever that it could happen. But if you could really scrutinzie all the cases that only a few are truly SHC. How about that story where that man in England saw fire come from his sister-in-law's mouth! I like the lady that said she got blisters on her arms after she became celibate. Something about a blocked Chakra! Yowza, I may burst into flame any second now!!!!

I'm still not completely satisfied with their experiment as the answer, but they were finally able to recreate elements of SHC - not everything though, in my opinion. Too many unknowns to be able to compare to a test!

As far as the fire coming out of her mouth, I think I'd have to see it to believe it!

we saw a show about it once and there was a man who survived it. he was home with his wife when it happened and it was either his leg or arm that started to burn. it just got hot and began to burn- I forget how he was saved.

I have wondered about the body chemistry thing and what we eat- but if it's what we eat I am sure don and I would have combusted years ago!!

Remember the one where ther lady died and such a horrid toxic gas came from her that the people in the emgergancy roon had to flee?
And how 'bout the lady in Cleveland who ate so many aspirins that she got radio reception in her head???

The pig experiment was really good. And I think it is very accurate for how the body will burn once the combustion has started. But no one knows yet why it starts. What I have learned so far is that it just spontaneously starts. There are many cases of people living through it. Some feel heat first, others have no idea until someone sees smoke. It doesn't seem to make sense. The body is supposed to be over 85 % water.
Maybe it has to do with some sort of energy in the area. Some sort of natural phenomenom where intense magnetic energy is collected or focus in one area. Maybe sonic vibrations are somehow focused in one area causing intense friction. It must have to do with a natural phenomenom because it is not isolated to the modern age. Maybe it the interaction between two or more intense energies in the same place. Magnetic + gravitational + vibration + hiphop music + .....
It could be misdirected or blocked psychic energy. We all know much can be done with our creative abilities. Saints have flown. People have travelled from location to location instantaneously. Potentionally we can do amazing things. Maybe this energy/ability materializes the wrong way and cause combustion.
Or maybe we shouldn't eat gunpowder burgers and napalm milkshakes then go disco dancing.
Me I believe it's God's punishment for us having ever invented Disco. But tha's just me. ;-) =) ;-)

Hi all i have wondered about SHC sometimes but it scares me silly. I really have no idea how or why it happens. I suppose i have never really read about it much.

One freaky kind of thing whatever it is. I have seen a few pictures but thats about it.
