I have noticed that lots of folks like certain entertainment that they dont admit to. After going to art school and the opera and the symphony many times there's nothing I like better than a rock'em sock em' martial arts movie! Yup- gratuitous violence!
Bruce Lee, Steven Seagal and chuck Norris are my favs. I'll sit and watch that crap all night!

We finally saw Couching Tiger Hidden Dragon the other night- my god was it a beautiful film! the premise was simple- the theft of a 400 year old sword and revenge on the Jade Fox.It was just awesome- see it with the subtitles- it's better to hear it in chinese. some of that stuff- like the jumping and running up the sides of buildings is true- there is a whole school of martial arts that involves jump training! Extreme jumping too!

Ok- I have confessed- ooh- also the terminator and robocop- loved them too. Oh yeh- Mad Max movies- they rule! And - oh on- this is the worst-I love Crocodile Dundee! And dinosaur flicks!!Oh man- I go straight to hog heaven with those! I loved it when the t-rex trashed San Diego in Jurassic Park II! Best 20 minutes on film anytime!
Go Big Lizard Go! And when he ate the lawyer on the can in Jurassic Park I- now that ruled!

What are your entertainment secrets??? Come on- fess up- it's good for the soul.......sundog

Well, this doesn't have to do with movies & the like, but have I ever mentioned that I wanted to take ballet classes and play classical piano? Yup. The mood didn't strike until I was about 19-20 y/o though. Weird - it's normally the 5 y/o that wants to be a ballerina, yes? Ok, big shhhhhh secret - both az and I took belly dance lessons when I was about 13 y/o. She and her friends decided to take these classes and wanted me to do it too. I was mortified. =O I think I've come to terms with it now that I'm 33 though. I can roll quarters on my stomach and can still play the zills & belody (sp) drum - still have 'em! Oh lordy!!!

As for musical entertainment secrets... bluegrass, folk, country, the 'dark' Vietnam War era music (i.e. Painted Black) and yes, techno - I am a child (teen) of the 80's. ;-)

Movies: "Night at the Roxbury", I'm a "Tombstone" junkie and I'm sure there are more - I just can't think right now!

Well..... I guess you have to find it out sometime.... I am crazy about Western movies... yep.... cowboys and Indians..... that is an old love of mine, since childhood... and also anything to do with the true stories about settlers, etc. "Dances with Wolves" was awesome! I am a "Little House" junkie, too, and when Michael Landon died, it broke my heart!!!! Yes, I am a really incurable "Tombstone" junkie, too... just like Kell! We watch "Tombstone" together occasionally, and we both know so many of the famous lines from that one. We are enamored with Val Kilmer's "Doc Holliday" character. And, Kurt Russell!!! Love that guy, too!! Other favorite actors for me include Powers Booth, Kevin Costner (although I didn't like his "Wyatt Earp" movie... it moved too slow, among other things),

"Shoot low, Sheriffs, they're riding Shetlands!!"

Well I like a lot of the same things that you all do. I like martial arts movies, but more because Marvin loves them. I love anything civil war movies era. Gone with the wind, North and South,
the blue and the gray, Glory, Gettysburg, etc. I also adore little house and the prairie and by the way Az by brother Kerry got to go to their reunion a few years back and has pictures taken with the cast. He has a nice picture with him and Carolyn. She is still very pretty. I grew up with little house and I believe Melissa Gilbert is the same age as me. I love movies about famous people anything on Elvis, etc. I also love anything ghost related and I watch on ton of Unsolved mysteries, and FBI Files and new detectives. I love Star Trek the Next Generation, and Voyager. I haven't got as involved in the other shows. My favorite shows during the week are: Charmed, ER, Mysterious Ways and believe it or not I adore Trading Spaces! My whole family is hooked on that one. I adore historical romance novels and that pretty much does it. Oh yeah I watch a lot of the home and garden channel. I just love old homes and their history. As for music I am well rounded (boy am I!) =) but not just fat.. I like Sarah Brightman and Andrea Boccelli. I like Enya, I like 70's music, I listen to some new stuff, I used to be into country but haven't kept up with that the last few years. I like a song for a song it doesnt have to be a type. =D

Hmmmm.
I love going to sporting events so I can get loud and scream things at the refs, umps and players.
One of my older favs was to go out to heavy metal bars and head bang to classics of Metallica, etc..until I was exhausted and loose my voice (it's a really good primal release :jump: ).
Normally I'm pretty quiet but we all have visit other parts of our personalities sometime. =D
I love all kinds of movies. Especially old ones. With Cary Grant, John Wayne, Audry Hepburn, and on and on.....
Can't say I like prime time television too much. But I do like Buffy TVS, Angel, the new Star Trek is not too bad but they need to punch it up some.
Learning shows. TLC. DSC. Travel Channel. Connections was one of my all time favorites. Of course ghost shows.
I love Anime. Not so much the mech kind but anything with a good story, good scifi, good fantasy or just plain fun to watch.
Any good Scifi anything. Farscape is the best thing out there now. Star Trek TNG was awesome. Fantastic Planet. Forbidden Planet. Etc....
I used to watch KUNG FU THEATRE every Saturday. Crouching Tiger... is an awesome movie and yes it's better in the original Mandarin chinese. I just love hearing Mandarin chinese. It touches something inside me. Like hearing someone singing live.
Hearing someone sing live. Especially in a small performance. It makes me cry.
Just about any female vocalist. Sade. Enya. Jewel. K.D. Lang. Laura McKinnett(sp?).
Blues(downhome southern coppertubesliding blues, deep blues). Alternative Rock. Heavy Metal, Tibetan. Hindu. I can't name them all here.

Another thing I like are the Blues - not all, but some. Itotally love "At Last" by Etta James. Some of the hard rock I like too, but not the 'death metal' stuff. "Rush" was a favorite during high school. The Doors are cool too. I also like some of the grunge music - Nirvana!

Told you I liked just about everything! =P

I looked back on my list and kept thinking "these are suppose to be the entertainment things that I wouldn't brag about" but unfortunately, I usually do brag about the things I like that are different from other people's likes.

I guess one thing I could add would be ladies night at the strip club - Male strippers. Enough said!
