Hubby and I were both up early this morning but since the kids were still sleeping we decided to go back to bed. Well all the animals decided to join us - the dog I don't mind, she just lays in the floor and goes to sleep but the cats are always milling around meowing and putting their noses where they don't belong so I put them out of the bedroom and closed the door. It was daylight outside but our drapes were drawn so the room was a dark gray. Just before I layed down again I saw a cat walk across the floor and make a dive like it was going under the door. Since it was dark and shadowy in the room, I figured one of them had snuck back in before I got the door closed but since she wasn't bothering us, I ignored it. About an hour later, hubby gets up to get coffee - he opens the door and in strolls both cats. They were out of the bedroom all along.

Did you actually see a cat (if so, did you recognize it??) or was it more of a shadowy thing that made the dive?

It looked like an actual cat - we've had three cats in our home. The two we have now are dark calico and light grey - it looked like the calico cat in shape and by the way she walked but I could not make out her colors. The other cat we had was pure white and she died here - I have seen her but only as a shadow behind my living room blinds.

Hmm. Maybe it was the white kitty that died there. (I'm sorry about that!). What feelings do you get about it, if any?

If it was the white kitty (whose name is kitty), then she didn't have enough energy to show her color but she sure appeared solid. Minnie (calico) and kitty do have similar shape.

I didn't get any negative vibes at all and Beethoven (dog) sure didn't show any signs of aggitation - more like total acceptance that she was here strolling around just like the other cats. Beethoven accepts the animals we bring into the house but she is always totally curious (either by growling or sniffing) of any animal that is new or thinks doesn't belong.
