I went to see Dragonfly with Kevin Costner today. I liked it more then my husband did. I was suprised to see Linda Hunt in a small part. Maybe it's a chick flick but I recommend you bring tissues if you go to see it. It's not the best movie you'll see all year but it was entertaining. Interesting subject of NDEs. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it an 8.

We have been seeing the previews on TV, and we have talked about wanting to see it. Guess we will have to now! =) It is funny how some movies are well liked by some, and other people just don't care for them. But, I personally don't think Costner has made what I would call a 'great movie' since Dances With Wolves, which I loved. I was very disappointed with his "Wyatt Earp", and 'Tombstone' had that beaten by a mile.

Thanks for the tips on 'Dragonfly'!

I'd like to see this one. I'm curious about it! Some parts of it seem like they're trying to scare you - were you scared at all? Like when that kid pops his head up so suddenly and stares at you? =O!

There were two parts that suprized you rather than scared really. That scene was one of them but you kinda expected it from the previews. The other I won't say. ;-)

So what kind of movie is it? I got the impression it is a ghost flick. Sort of a Sixth Sense type of movie. I am very interested in seeing it. Could you give a description of what type of movie it is Pandora? You said it is more of a chick flick and had NDE's but could you sum it up a little more. Without giving anything away of course. =)

Without giving away the mystery in the movie I would say that it has ghostly aspects. Not as good as the Sixth Sense was but similar in a way. It deals with the possibility of life after death and how science or medicine deals with that. Then there is the emotional side and dealing with belief systems. Are you grieving or really experiencing something paranormal? Go see it.

We never got the time to see Dragonfly at the movies, but it has come out on video and I'm telling you we loved it! I would recommend it to anyone. My daughter and I even watched it a second time. It has a very paranormal theme and I personally believe these things happen today, but we often overlook the obvious. Well check it out if you get the chance and let me know what you thought.

I finally saw the movie. To be honest with all the dissappointment from previous Costner movies I put of seeing this one.
It's now on the STARZ network.
I liked it. Good story. Always keeping you in suspense. Some good chills. And I really like the ending. Very creative.
A good movie. =)
