I don't know if ya'll remember but some time ago I posted about the scent of roses around my friends apartment. For those that don't I'll refresh you. In a three foot radius around her front door sometimes there was this overwhelming scent of roses with no logical cause. We looked at everything logical and could find no reason. Well after that happened we started to smell the scent of vanilla in her apartment. It wasn't just any vanilla but a candy/cookie kind of vanilla scent. You could literally stand or sit there and smell the scent go past you like when someone with a strong perfume walks by. Anyway that scent has been there on and off for quite sometime. Nothing else ever happens at the apartment just the occasional scent. Even her kiddo's have noticed it. Now this is just the oddest coincidence. Tuesday I ran into the CVS to get some blistex and while I was in there I noticed they had some of the aromatherapy candles on clearance. I grabbed one, noticed it was vanilla and ran up to the register. The candles were 5.99 and 50% off of that. The girl was ringing my stuff up and I noticed the candle came up to .59 cents so I asked her if that was right and she said it was so I ran back and gabbed the two that were left on the shelf. I had planned on giving one to my friend and keeping the other two for myself. So when I went back to her apt I gave her the candle and that's when I noticed that the candle smelled exactly the same as the vanilla scent we had been smelling. I know for a fact that she didn't have any of these candles and they aren't so strong that we would smell them from the neighbors apartment. The scent is vanilla/cinnamon and they are for comfort. I just thought that was just too neat. =)

Hmmm. That is interesting. Has she burned it yet?

Hmmmmm! So what's the feeling you get about the whole thing?

I'm still wondering how 50% off of $5.99 comes to $0.59. :nerd: Good price!

I was wondering about that price too. But hey the girl said that was right =) $.59 was especially good since the candles came in the little glass jar. I was quite impressed. I don't think she has burned it yet, at least she hadn't as of last night. She lit the wick but I don't think she has actually burned it yet. As for my feelings of the whole thing, I'm just finding it bizarre and thinking maybe it's one of things. Maybe someone going "Hey look stupid since you all didn't get it here it is right in your face, I was offering comfort." Or it was just one of those odd coindencies.
