Hi Guys,
I've had fun reading your posts. This message board seems perfect for me even if I don't post to often because it has ghosts and pets! I've had a couple of strange experiences lately. A couple of months ago when I was reading a book and minding my own business one of my wind-up music boxes started to play by itself. Nothing like this has ever happened before and you can imagine how startled I was. It is actually a snowglobe music box and it has kitties in it. Since then I have noticed some weird knocking noises coming from the trunk my snowglobes are sitting on. Every time I have heard anything unusual it has been very dry staticy weather. I guess in so. ca. ghosts can't wait around for thunderstorms. Well, not very exciting but you never know what might happen next. I also have a picture you guys might enjoy. It is of a building on the grounds of a mental institution in Mi. that was torn down 2 yrs. ago. If you look at the enlargment of the window it looks to me like a distorted face with hands pressed against the glass. I don't think the people a ghoststudy liked it all that much but I still think it's pretty neat.

Well I guess thats about it for now. When I get my pet pictures up I'll introduce my creatures in the pet forum. They're more interesting than I am.

Welcome Renee! Glad you found the board. I have had music boxes start up on their own too. It can really startle you. Was the globe a gift? How about the trunk? Is it an antique? Did you get it used? Sometimes objects and not houses are haunted. Just wondering.

Hi Renee,

Welcome to SpiritKeep! I'm glad you found your way over. =)

I think I saw your mental institution pics when you had them posted over at ghoststudy... very interesting! Was the place abandonded when you took these pics?

That is strange about the music box. I haven't had that happen, but then again, I don't have a music box! Has there been any other activity beyond the music box starting up and the knocking sounds?

Again, welcome, and looking forward to seeing your furkids! ;-)

Hi Pandora & Kell,
The snowglobes were all gifts that I recieved at various times. I think I got the kitty one for Christmas about twelve years ago. The trunk is not an antique, my husband had it before I met him but you can buy similar ones at k-mart and Target. The whole thing is a complete mystery to me. We've lived in this apt. for about 6 yrs. and no sign of ghosties before. There have been other small things that have happen like I'll hear noises like the cat making trouble but I can see him sleeping on his chair. The light on the ceiling fan one time turned off then turned back on. At the time I had thought it had burned out and was suprised when it came back on. We go through stages when light bulbs burn out all the time. =O As for the picture I don't think I would call the building completely abondoned because the grounds were being kept up but it was definately closed up and unused. A small portion of the main building was still in use.

Hi Renee! welcome to our crew That's pretty cool about the music box. those things used to fascinate me when I was little! Ghosts just may like them as much as we do. isnt it funny how they tinker with things like music boxes and clocks??I love snow globes- especially the ones they sell down here with flamingos in them- so kitschy that they are fun!!!when I find one with a gator in it, it will belong to me!

Well-welcome aboard- hey yall- where's renee's margarita???? Here's one- top shelf and on the rocks...................

Hi Renee!
Welcome to SpiritKeep!! We are glad to have you here. I notice you are in So. Cal. ... gosh, we are practically neighbors! (We are in Phoenix) LOL

That is kinda spooky about the music box. I wonder if perhaps you do have a ghostly one who has taken a fancy to the music box? It sure seems like something strange is going on. =O

Keep us posted!
