In 1996, I got pregnant for my first daughter... During this change of life, I had a re-occuring dream.
I could see myself standing behind an older home, I wore a big dress ( I guess you could say Victorian style ), my hair was long and curled in large ringlets, and I must've had a corset on because I've never had a better figure!
As I'm standing there, a little girl, strawberry blond long ringlets in her hair, came to me, stood at my side and held my hand. This I believe from the feeling I had in the dream to be my daughter. We were looking passed the tall grass way back in the yard and saw a man, mid 40's walking along a little path. He had his head down, didn't look to make eye contact, didn't speak, just walked with his head down and looked terribly lonely.
??????? The little one in that dream looked identical to my oldest at 2yrs of age!
Other nights, I would dream about walking into a baby's room and seeing the sweetest little black haired baby girl sleeping soundly in a crib, this was in hindsight, Emily, my second daughter.
I had these dreams up until I gave birth to Tina, my first... Never had strange things happen while pregnant with Emily. Just the thought that I saw both my daughters before even having either of them is pretty cool but I'm curious about the man in the first dream... what does it mean to dream about a stranger who looks depressed?
I know that might sound like a goofy question but I guess I'm just trying to make sense of things that have gone on for a long time... Like I've said before, I don't know many people who would be able to ... let's say, give a hoot about this kind of thing?! So, I turn to you!

They say that we share our lives with the same people. Perhaps in a past life you were mother to the same girls. They are just back again to be with you. In another time one of them could be your mother, or father. Who's to say if it's true, but it sounds good. Have you ever thought of getting a past life regression? I would love to someday but it's difficult to trust someone that is legitimate.

Nancy,
That a great picture in your signature. I love it.

A past life regression is when someone takes you back through hypnosis to remember your past lives. You have to find someone experienced because someone inexperienced can suggest to the subject a past memory that didn't really exist. I'm sure others can explain better. There are a few here who have been regressed.

I dont know how everyone dreams of past lives but when I do I get glimpses of moments. sometimes they are important as in the time of death or they are just something silly- but that's how it goes for me. I went to a past-life regression with a group and felt that nothing was happening- that I wasnt hypnotized at all until i suddenly was floating above my mother a couple of months before I was born. she was profoundly sad. I could see the snow falling outside of the window. Just so very sad. Just a year ago an elderly aunt revealed the nature of her saddness to me.

I moved to the deep South in 1989 for no other reason than I never ever felt I belonged in the north. A very unfinished life was spent in charleston SC and I guess it was time to come home to the saw palmettos. My actual southern ancestry is from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia- not SC!

On an odd note of coincidence- I work with a pastry chef who I feel oddly comfortable with- sorta like he's family.......anyway it winds up that his family is the founding family of Berkeley co. Va/now WVA. My genetic family arrived there a few years after his. in the mid 1700's. Our families would have known or known of each other! how strange??? but I feel no real connection with my genetic family- sort of like they are a big accident- so I dont think he figures in a past life.but who knows!!he moved down to st. augustine 15 years ago.He is from Detroit.
oops all these edits! I forgot to say that sometimes in dreams it will be half in the now and half in the past. usually I will drive up in my car to a place in the past. hard to sort out!!!

Hi Nancy,
Very cute pic! Like Sundog said, a lot of people do catch glimpses of past lives during dreams. The ones I experience are just a little different. Mine usually occur when I am trying to go to sleep, or in a relaxed state with my eyes closed. I often do this when my husband is driving -- I close my eyes, relax, and pictures literally pop into my head. Almost like a black and white movie. Usually I'll experience cloudy formations, and then it clears into some type of scene from the past. I've caught glimpses of landscapes, a large Victorian era dinner party, buildings, etc...
One of the most intense ones I ever experienced occured when my husband and I traveled to the UK. It was our first night in Wales, and only our second evening over there. Anyway, I was trying to go to sleep, but was still fully awake, just with eyes closed. I first saw a rolling landscape, similar to the one I had seen that day but still a little different. Then the scene changed and I had the impression I was running toward two large, intricately carved doors, stumbling up a hill. (I couldn't tell what I looked like). It was so vivid, I made my husband get up and I drew what I had seen. According to the details, it was a medieval scene with things only someone very familiar with the era would have known (I'm not).
Anyway, if you get a chance, you may want to try this technique. Like I said, I just usually get a glance, but it is pretty interesting!
Good luck!

Nancy, I think your picture is darling!!! You look like a mother bear lovingly protecting her precious cubs! Perfect!!
As far as a past life regression for you, I am sure that it would be very interesting, especially since there is a very good posibility that your daughters are with you again in this life.
I have had a past life regression that was pretty awesome. A friend of mine at the time did the regression for me. We were on a camping trip to a very remote area in Southeastern, Arizona. It is along the AZ/NM line, almost to the border with Mexico, near a place called Skeleton Canyon. We did it at night around the campfire, with only myself, my husband, my friend and her husband present. All of us are psychically sensitive.

Anyway, my regression began....
My friend told me to relax, close my eyes, and get comfortable, which I did. (I am a very good hypnosis subject, by the way, at least that is what I have been told by a couple of people who have placed me under hypnosis.)

I was a young man, maybe 19 or 20, and I was in a very small town/settlement that I don't know the name of, but I knew that it was close to a place called Dragoon, Arizona. I believe it was in the 1870's or 1880's. My name was Joe, but I didn't know my surname. This place where I was is not there any more, evidently, as I have been all over that area.
I was sitting on the edge of a boardwalk, in front of a small saloon, but there were no other people in town that I saw. I was wearing pants that were ragged, and must have been similar to blue jeans. I had no shoes. My shirt was a brown plaid, but the fabric was wearing thin. I was holding the reins of my horse, that was standing there facing me. There was another building across the very dusty street from where I was. I had the tall false front, and it was old... and I think it was a general store, or a merchantile, or something similar. The sign was not readable.... it was faded, but I saw letters, and I think I might have just been illiterate. (I couldn't recall the letters afterward.) I knew that someone was there asking me questions, and I knew they were friendly and all (it was actually my friend doing the regression... LOL). I was asked all kinds of questions.... and it seemed that I didn't have any family.
After a while, my horse was beginning to get restless, and I told my regressor that I had to leave, because my horse was getting 'nervous'. And, so I was brought back to the present.
The most unique thing about this really mundane story is the fact that.... my voice changed, and so did my normal speaking vocabulary. I was using words that I never have used in this life. We were so disappointed that we hadn't brought the tape recorded with us on that camping trip. It would be very interesting for me, as well as others.

Anyway, that is my regression, in a nutshell.... and I would love to go back further!

Blessings all,

azspirit

If you do got to see a hypnotherapist ask for a previous life regression. Any regressions for this life is refered to as past life and any regressions to previous lives are you guessed it..previous life regressions.
I've had past life regressions done. To find out some painful things that I was repressing.
Being psychic means you pick up on all kinds of things. Sometimes past lives sometimes you pick up on energies around you. I find it hard to tell the difference most of the time.
I've seen images that really could have come from no where but previous lives or at best picked out of race memory.
I've seen images of many different times and from most of the world.
I guess what I am trying to say is that what you see sometimes may not be a past life but a something you are picking up for some other reason.
If you are looking for past lives the best thing I think is to see a reputable hypnotherapist. I am sure you have several in you area. Though it may take some searching to find them. Contacting a psychic may help you.

I get images like the ones described here, but they are rarely detailed or long. I will close my eyes at any time, but mostly before falling asleep and see random images like sides of buildings, a face or a landscape. The only one that I can recall that had much detail happened last summer. I sing in a chorus and it was before a concert. I was at the theatre where we were performing very early because my partner was stage managing the concert. I sat down backstage and closed my eyes for a second. I got a very clear image of a woman in the lobby of that theatre. She was sitting on a stair and sobbing. The building is about 20 years old and since I am nearly 43, I assume I was picking up on some energy left there, not a past life thing. But who knows?
