ALthough the kids have been very sick, last night actually gave way for a good amount of sleep as my husband was home and able to get up through out the night with the little ones.
He did although have to nudge me awake once because I was breathing heavy, like I was running and I kept saying "Her eyes, look at her eyes!"
Well I remember all too clearly what I was dreaming about... Dream description:
In the middle of the night, I got up to go use the washroom and as I walked in, that woman (doppleganger?) was standing in front of the mirror. She was in the flesh for sure, wearing my dress and I FINALLY GOT TO SEE HER FACE but let's just say, I wish I hadn't. She turned to look at me and her eyes were not normal eyes, they were like diamonds instead of eye balls! She could see though and I could tell right away that she wasn't very friendly (just a nasty vibe I got). She turned back, took my hairdryer, plugged it in and put it back. Then, she filled the sink with water and looked back at me... All the while she stared, she put a hand on the hairdryer and with her hand still on it, put it in the water. It wasn't turned on but she began to turn into fried bacon right in front of me... but she still stared!!!
That dream freaked the [Poop] out of me!!!
If this is a "doppleganger", could she be trying to show me what my fate is? Granted, I've always been extra carefull and most of the time, I use the hairdryer in my daughter's room...
What do you all think?

=D Miss Grrl - we were thinking the same thing!

Nancy,

Well, hmm! I think maybe I've stressed you out with all of that information on doppelgangers! =P Truly though, although dreams can be great messengers, I tend to think this one may be triggered by stress. It happens to everyone. The doppelganger info contained a lot of gloom and doom - because of their myth.

The beautiful thing about any precognative dream though, is that we have the power to change things if it's in our power to do so. You've got the control! In this case, I'd just take this as a message to be extra careful around electricity and water. Try not to dwell too much on this because you'll end up stressing yourself out even more... ;-)

Good point Kell Kell!
Take abreather Mamabear........probably nothing at all except your brain letting off steam. All the information that's been coming at you can get 'rewired" into the brain and come put in the form of some pretty spine tingling, scarey dreams. Try keeping a journal and writing these things down. It might help .....you might be able to see a pattern that could help settle this once and for all. =D ;-)

I'm merely trying to redirect your focus so that you can attack this from every possible angle)

Hey I had a dream almost like that. In it I walked into the bathroom of a restaurant and there was a woman in a black suit, high heels and black hose at the sink. she turned around and it was me in my business clothes only they were even blacker if that can be possible. Her eyes were glittering red and the auburn hair was glowing and really scarey- then she began to strangle me. whew! Nothing ever happened because of it. chill, have a pill before you have a spill!!

When someone has been sleep deprived- which means no or very little REM sleep for a very long time- when you do get a decent night of sleep- whether naturally or with help- you will at the very least have vivid dreams if not out and out nightmares.

Oh- my dream indicated a struggle between who I really am on one hand and the shark I had become (and still can be if need be) on the other hand.

Ponder on this for yourself- is there a struggle between different parts of your personality somewhere along the way? hey-it's quite normal.

Thanks all for your input, I sure agree that it could all be my brain "acting up"!
Hubby's seeing how zombie I look lately so he's being very helpful although he sorta put the royal blue curtains in the wash with my daughter's school clothes (and the colors are all messed up), he's still a sweety!
Thank God I can see the bright side huh?

I don't think it was any kind of precognitive dream or warning about some sort of fate in store for you.
If anything it may be your subconscious giving a warning about your current situation. Too stressed? Worried alot by all the activity in your house. Kids sick.
And it just may be that you have a touch of what your kids have and it caused that dream. Which may be the simplest explanation.

Ya know, what Nakis said is very true. I know when I feel the flu bug or a virus coming on, my dreams become really weird and unsettling. Sometimes from medication and sometimes just from the stress of what our bodies are dealing with to throw the crud off. Get some rest and relaxation -- go on a "Mom Strike" for one day this weekend! Yes, I know, there will be an even bigger mess to clean up then.
