I thought I'd start a thread for all of you X-File faithfuls so you can talk about the show and what's happening.

So, the show is scehduled to end soon? =( What is Chris Carter doing so wrong? Let it all out! =D

Well this last episode Scully gave up her son William, who's impending birth was the focus of the entire season 8, for adoption. Jeffrey Spender came back as the deformed man after being shot in the head by his father(csm) in season 6. The only thing true to the X-Files was thatit was finally confirmed that the csm is Mulder's father(long story). I'm getting tired of the damned super soldiers and all the good bad guys are dead. The Well Manucured Man in the movie, the whole conspiracy in season 6, the csm in the season 7 finale, and Krycek in the season 8 finale. I will say that I liked Burt Reynolds as God making Reyes and Scully play checkers. But nothing can make up for killing the Lone Gunmen. The series has three more shows to go and the way it's going there's not going to be anybody left alive.

Jeez... no, it doesn't sound like they will!

I was thinking that if Scully gives the baby up for adoption, that she'd run across him/her in future shows. But I guess that won't be happening!

BTW - csm is cigarette smoking man, right? Mulder's father!? That's a little like telling Luke that Darth Vader is his father! :lol:

I've almost reached the point where I don't want to watch anymore but after all this time (and yes I've stayed faithful through all the bad shows) I have to see how it plays out (kind of like reading a lousy book but you have to finish it anyway). With Scully's devotion and love for William, it just didn't sit right with me that she gave him up. I know she wanted to protect him but... If there had been more episodes to build this up, maybe it would have been feasible but he (CC) just kind of threw it at us in one episode. I heard there was supposed to be a movie (I don't see how that's possible) unless they do it and bring everyone back including the "dead" Lone Gunmen (are they really dead after all? Did we see their bodies in the coffins?) Hmmmmm I wonder........ Thanks for starting the topic; I was going to do the same thing today. =) =)

I stopped watching a few months back because I thought it lost it's orginality and was getting pretty weird in a bad way. Then I hear now that the Lone Gunmen are dead? Now Scully gave up her child? Ewww. I just don't know. I sort of want to see the finale but at the same time, I want to remember it when it was GOOD!

I have to say I liked last nite's X-Files. I just love Cary Elwes. He's soooo cute, I'd take him any day(don't tell my husband :redface: ). I just knew he'd come through. Too bad we won't get to see him any more but it's nice to know that he ended up being a good guy. Major dissappointment that there was no kiss. I thought there was going to be but then there wasn't. Reyes and Dogget, will they or won't they? Hopefully they will before the end. Carter owes us something to make up for the Lone Gunmen.

I was joking with a friend about how the last episode should be a double wedding Mulder & Scully and Dogget & Reyes. Of course, Scully & Mulder will have to get William back. That will have to be a made for TV movie. =D

Well the final episode left me feeling flat and uncertain. I was just very disappointed.

Aw, I'm sorry guys. I hate it when things go sour like this. With such a popular and long-standing show, you'd think they'd go out with a bang. I guess not. :rolleyes:

I never kept up with it, but I know you must feel so let down. I'd ask how it ended, but it probably wouldn't make much sense to someone who hasn't been following along... =\
