I was vacuuming the house today and as I was cleaning down the hall I vacuumed all the way to the end wall and while there I felt really cool air. Now it's pretty warm here in AZ today so I thought how nice to find a cool spot in the house and that the air conditioning must have just turned on. I vacuumed as I backed away and immediately took a left into the office and started to clean the carpet there. As I backed out of the office I turned toward the end of the hall again where I had just vacuumed and saw footprints in the fresh carpet. And I know I didn't make them because they were in a spot I would have put myself into in order to clean the rug. I clean toward the wall not away from it! Hmmm.

That is a little creepy huh? Did you notice if the air conditioner was on or not?

Hmm! That is weird! How big were the feet? So, they headed like from the wall down the hall, or were they going into another room? Creepy!

They were going from the master bed room into the 3rd bedroom. Straight across the hall but next to the wall where it dead ends. The Master is a little offset from the room across so you would have to go through the wall in the master, into the hall with the dead end wall to your right and into the other bedroom. I hadn't even gotten into the 3rd room yet and was about to vacuum in the Master. The footprints were small, very much like my own so I thought that maybe I made them. But there was no way I could have and not remembered. I would have had to have my back right again the wall standing on one foot!

That is odd Pandora. Have you noticed anything else in the house, or is this just a one time thing?

No this isn't a one time thing. It's been ongoing for the year plus we have lived here. Hubby didn't believe in that kind of crap, until now. He now is a believer! :lol:

We call her Rose because of the smell of roses we got when we first moved in. I would smell them in the hall and Bill one day over his shoulder in the kitchen. The thing that really got Bill was one day as he was coming out of the shower he could smell dinner cooking. Smelled like Pot Roast with all the fixings. He started down the hall when it hit him. It was the middle of the week, and the day, and I was still at work so there is no way anyone was cooking in the house. When he got to the kitchen nothing was turned on but the smell lingered for a few more minutes.

We both have seen things move down the hall out of the corner of your eye and even both witnessed a mist going into the hall bath.

So this is a spirit that likes to be noticed but isn't scaring you... It reminds me of my friend Tina's house when I would sleep over. I would wake-up to smell bacon and eggs cooking and go downstairs and her father was still sleeping, no one was awake. That house was very old, oldest house in our village. They had used her father's bedroom years before as a temporary morgue when they had to relocate the cemetary. That room remained cold from that time. We would have the heat jacked up to the nines and still, no heat. Her father even had the heating system checked, replaced, etc. Nothing worked.
I wonder Kim if this "Rose" will follow you when you move?

Now, those footprints are strange. But, with the previous encounters with Rose that you have had, I am not surprised. That is funny about Bill and the potroast! It's funny how these spirits can make us believers in so many subtle little ways! LOL =)

Hmm, I wonder why she would go through the trouble and energy to make footprints so you could see them? Maybe she wanted to let you know that she is still there?
If that is all she does then Rose sounds pretty cool. And the smells that go with her are great (maybe not for the diet, but... =) ).
