I heard yesterday that Michael Skakel has been convicted of the Martha Moxley murder commited back in 1975! Justice has been done!

quote:
Skakel was found guilty of murder Friday in the bludgeoning death of his 15-year-old neighbor Martha Moxley with a golf club more than 26 years ago. The six-man, six-woman jury reached the verdict in its fourth day of deliberations.

Skakel, 41, is the nephew of Ethel Skakel Kennedy, widow of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy. He now faces a possible sentence of life in prison. A sentencing hearing will be held July 19.

It would be interesting to know if Skakel had a history in the 27 years between the murder and the trial of abusive behavior toward women. I haven't heard anything on this, and given his connections, it probably would be kept quiet. I'm wondering if it was a case of temporary insanity, or is this guy just purely evil?
My heart goes out to Martha Moxley's mother. I can't imagine the sorrow of losing a child this way, and all along almost knowing who was behind it. Such a tragedy!

I have and still do have a feeling we don't know the whole story on this, I was always so suspicious of the tutor that the police investigated in the beginning, he failed a lie detector test years earlier and has had drug and emotional problems since this incident. I also do think Michael was involved, but like everything that has to do with people and money I just don't think the whole truth will ever be out.
