Last night while I was in the kitchen, my father was back by the back door at the water cooler, filling up Doc's water bowl when he heard a huge slam against the back door!
Doc was inside, as was az - both in the other room. He quickly asked me if I heard it and I said no, that I hadn't. I was fooling with a skillet on the stove and it was making a tiny bit of clinking noise, so I told him maybe that's what he heard? He said no, it sounded as if someone had thrown a basketball, full-force, against our back door and couldn't belive that none of us heard this - not even the dog, apparently. He had turned right after the noise and looked out because he thought someone was out there that did this, but there was no one there. Poor guy, thought he was hearing things.
As far as I know, sometimes ghostly sounds are only audible to one person; it's not always to everyone present. Is this right?
