Just thought I'd let you know, I added a couple new pics to the ghost photo gallery. They were sent in by a gal that signed our guestbook the other day. She sent in a great ecto shot! Thanks for sharing it with us, Karin. =)

I've added a link to the ghost pics at the top of this forum as well. =)

Thanks, Renee! I'd love to include your pics. I will add them straight to the ghost pics on the site (still working on that area ;-) ). I remember talking to you about the asylum pics when you first posted them over at GS. I've always thought they were cool! I do see something in that window, and there seems to be something in the window below it too. =O! Hmm. Would you mind writing up a little something for me to include with the asylum pics? I forget when you took these... early '90's, wasn't it?

I loved the website too - very interesting. I will include it on the site as well. That place has seen a lot of history. It's creepy to look at the windows because they're so small w/ slats. :shiver: I found another pic on their website that is mildly creepy. I'll post it here in a bit to see what you think.

Hey, on the rabbits pic, I can't see them. =( I see a shape of some sort, but I can't make out a rabbit.

Here you go Kell:

Clilnton Valley Center-Vinton Cottage

History- Clinton Valley Center was opened in 1878 as the Eastern Michigan Asylum in Pontiac, MI. Later in 1894 Vinton Cottage was built and occupied. The building was built separate from the main hospital and most probably housed the more stable patients that had jobs on the asylum grounds or farm. Sadly this building along with the rest of the institution was demolished in the year 2000.

The picture- This picture was taken in early 1990 for a high school photography class assignment on architecture. The building was unused and abandoned though part of the institution was still in use. The weather at the time was cold and cloudy with snowfall. The distorted face in the window looks like some one looking out with their face and hands pressed against the window. The apparition appears, to me, to be a woman with an elongated and distorted face and nose and a poofy, pulled back, old-fashioned hairdo. The hand on the left side is complete and on the right shows the heel of the hand and thumb. Around the neck looks like a scarf possibly fastened with some kind of pin or broach. Below the hands and shoulder area there is no body. The column of light to the left of the picture, I believe to be coming from a partially opened door within the room. The light at that time of day was coming from the back side of the building. The small white object above and to the right of the window was dust or a piece of lint on the negative. There were no tree’s close enough to cause a reflection in the window. This was the only unexplainable anomaly on this roll of film and I did not notice the image in the window until 12yrs. later.

Kell, you can edit this in any way you need to. Oh, the bunny pics I don't think are ghostly but the one on the right is in profile(head and ears to the left-tail to the right). The bunny on the left is in profile except his little, floppy eared face is looking right at you(head to the right-tail to the left). They're pretty hard to see, in fact it took me a while to see them.

thanks for the link ! I clicked on it and got quite a bit of history. It's a shame it's gone. It looked like a great place to get some good ghost pictures and maybe some EVP's!

whirly room[/URL] this picture is enough to make ANY one insane. Can you imagine having to actually BE in this room!? =O!

Thanks, Renee! That will be helpful. ;-) I'll look again for the widdle wabbits.

Miss Grrl... I was a bit concerned about the whirly room myself. What is it... some kind of cruel joke!? "If you don't behave, I'm taking you straight to the whirly room!" =O!
