While reading Kell's post about the door slamming I suddenly remember a time about a year ago in the laundry room where as I was reaching for the door knob to go to the backyard I felt like something touched or brushed the top of my hand. As if I had run my hand under a hanging towel or something. But of course there was nothing there. As I turned to look around, it brushed the side of my cheek. But I wasn't scared at all. Just puzzled. So I wonder if any of you have ever been touched by something you couldn't explain?

Yes, I have on occasion. While sitting at the computer once night, I felt something touching the crown of my head (just a little to the right, though) with an index finger. Kinda tingly... felt almost like a rubberband on my hair/head when they slide, ya know?

Other times I've had a breeze across my cheek when there is no reason for one.

az will post here I'm sure, but she's had one tug on her blouse before. =O!

Has anyone ever felt like someone is holding/pressing your lower back/hips to the bed when you're laying on your stomach? I hate it!

I have had the feeling of a 'presence' quite often while sitting here at the computer. The most obvious touching incident that stands out in my mind was the time the 'presence' actually tugged on my blouse.
I was wearing a 'cutoff' sleeveless blouse that has the ties in the front under the bustline. The back was like an ordinary blouse, with a hemmed lower edge a little over halfway down my back. The blouse was rather loose fitting. Kell and I were sitting here at our computers one night kinda late. Kell was turned toward me, and we were talking about some little thing. Suddenly, something grabbed my blouse at the lower edge in the middle of the back, and gave it a brisk tug downward. The tug was strong enough that I felt my blouse go snug against my spine momentarily, and the whole back of the blouse moved. Kell saw the blouse move, and couldn;t believe her eyes for a moment. I was sitting still, with my hands near my keyboard. My chair has nothing about it that could catch my clothing. I wasn't moving at the time it happened.... but Kell and I looked at each other, and knew that something had actually tugged my clothes!!! Out of the corner of her eye at about that same time, Kell had noticed a 'dark presence' about the size of just the upper half of a person. It was kind of hovering above my right shoulder... and we can only assume that 'he' is the one who did the tugging. We see this same dark presence fairly often, and all three of us in the house see him when he moves about... usually rather fast, and in the area of the hallway, kitchen or living room.

Hi all! I had a clothing incident too. Some years ago, I thought my sister had a handful of my jacket, I wondered what she was doing. When I turned to ask her, she wasnt there. No one was. I dont know why this happened, but a few seconds later my sister walked into the room, so I knew she wasnt responsible. It has been a puzzler since. Lady Mira.Suzy's Ghost & Psychic Pages..[/URL]

We have 3 entities in our home, an elderly lady I have named Margaret (in honor of my G'ma) she walks back and forth between the livingroom and the kitchen, with her ever-present cup of tea. We also have a ghost kitty, who seems to take great pleasure in walking across us as we try to settle into bed at night. These 2 are a wonderful addition to our home, and I would miss them dearly if they were gone.

The 3rd... is another story altogether. Very male, and VERY angry. He has a habit of knocking me down, holding me so I can't breathe or move... once he actually THREW me across the bed. He has also left bruises a few times, and bite marks on my upper shoulder and collerbone area on 2 occasions. I recently did a smudging, and believe he may finally be gone. We sometimes have periods where he is very quiet, for days and even weeks at a time, so I am crossing my fingers and holding my breath for awhile to see if he is really gone... =\

=O! OMG! That is terrifying PS! How do you deal with that? I mean I would be afraid to do anything in the house for fear that "he" might do something at any time. You have nerves of steel!

PS, Now, that is one scary dude!!!! How long ago did this all happen? I hope the smudging will continue to work. I think I would keep a smudge stick in my hip pocket, if I had an entity like that one! LOL
We have had an incident where my husband felt something like a cat walking along beside him while he was laying in bed one night. He went to bed early, and I was still up, and he told us about it the next day.

Hey, how is your ankle doing?? I have been thinking about you, and wondering how you were doing. =)

Blessings,

All this started over 2 years ago, and did the smudging about a week or 10 days ago...(I keep losing track of time lately... must be age!) keeping my fingers crossed. It used to scare me a lot, then it made me mad... then I learned that they sort of "feed" off the negative energy. So would stay calm, and actually got to where it didn't frighten me all that much... Actually, live people scare me more than ghosts most of the time. =O

The ankle is doing ok. Still waiting for the latest MRI result to come back to see if we have to go in again... keep your fingers crossed guys! Work is pretty hateful on the ankle. Working from 5am to 6pm, and am totally out of shape after sitting on my butt for 16 weeks with the cast on! Lots and Lots of walking and climbing stairs, and basically climbing in cielings and on equipment like a monkey, so I have a date with the icebag every evening... but hey, it gets me out of KP duty, so it's all good, :jump: :jump: :jump: Thanks for the good thoughts. And can I just say thank you right here and now to everyone on this board for always being positive and supporting... it seems like there is this huge wave of negative energy flooding a lot of other boards right now, and this one is so peaceful... Thank you one and all for making this a "happy place" to spend a little time. [Banana] [Banana] [Banana] [Banana] (I'll use an excuse I can come up with to use the "nanner"... I just love him!

PS- it sounds like you are headed down the right path to get rid of this negative spirit, or at least keep him at bay. I assume that you used sage for smudging your house recently. That is great for getting rid of these bad boys. Another thing that you might try is after the sage, try using a cedar smudging stick. It just adds positive energy to your environment, and it does make a difference. I use them, and find them to be quite effective in the positive vibes arena. Another thing that is good for positive vibes in a room is to burn a white candle. =)

Well, we are gonna be waiting to hear about that ankle when you get your next MRI. I will keep you in my prayers, and I'll send some healing white light to you, to help things to come out much better than before. ;-) We cant have our Plumb Spooky running around on a bum ankle!! [Banana]

It does sound like your work is giving that ankle a taxing workout, but, hey... getting out of KP duty is a real plus!!!
I am so pleased to hear that you like our little place in cyberspace. When we started SpiritKeep, we wanted it to be your spirit's inner stronghold... a place where people could come that was as unbiased as we could make it, kind, loving, supportive, and accepting of people and their differences in beliefs and backgrounds. We have been richly blessed with members who exemplify those attributes. I hope that you will always feel loved and welcome when you come here, as that was our main intent from the beginning. =D

[Banana] Nanners for you, PS!! [Banana]

PS, ouch! I can imagine your poor ankle is hating all of that 'work' during the day. =( Keep us posted on the MRI results!
Thank you for the compliment.... we're glad we can be there for you. ;-)

This ghost that holds you down, etc..... when does he do it? I mean, is there a particular time of day/night? Any kind of pattern that you've been able to establish?

no...it didn't matter if it was day or night... could happen at any time. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it only happened in the master bedroom. But usually if I was trying to relax, or just reading a book in bed...but sometimes all I had to do was be in the room. I think maybe when you read or relax, your brain-waves change somehow, making it easier for them to come through. Anybody got any thoughts on that? Anyway, so when I did the smudging, I did it in there with the door closed so as not to disturb my "nice" ghosts... Will keep you all posted. =)

='( On the down side... Doc says no more motorcycle... said the ankle just can't take it... so will give my baby a bath, then put a tear streaked for sale sign on her... ='( ='( ='(

Aw, Spooky... I'm sorry about the motorcycle. =(

I believe too, that they can 'get to you' when you're not on your usual guard. They also seem to like to 'attack' while you're sleeping. I know these things that happen to us while we're alseep/almost asleep are regarded as 'sleep paralysis' and that there is nothing ghostly about it, but after my own experiences, I don't know if that's entirely true. =\

Take care of that ankle! ;-)

More times than I care to count or remember.
A lot through my childhood. Mostly tame happenings. Moving of my hair and stuff.
Some had tried to get me to say things. It was very strange. Not trying to possess me but to get into my mouth and throat so that I would say something. At one time I remember this happening and it worked. I ended up saying something "...eth". I couldn't tell if it was Seth, death, or whatever.
I just remember at that point being so upset at being messed with so much I decided I had enough of all the traffic and being messed with.

yeppers I sure have...recently the presence in my house just likes to walk across the bed at night. I used to think it was "just the cat" but one night she and I were curled up "being" with each other and I had that same tip toeing feeling on the edge of the bed where my feet were...I knew then that it wasn't the cat. She instantly went on "alert" and became hyper frightened at every sound ( I "fluffed one".... and scared the bejesus out of her! ) I have often felt someone lightly poking at me while I'm in that "between place" between true sleep and being aware of your surroundings. I open one eye thinking it might be my oldest telling me to get up he's hungry and there's no one there. The little one ( my 4 year old) is usually sleeping in the bed next to me, so I'm certain it's not him, especially since I've been on my right side, my back to him and the poking was on my exposed left shoulder or thigh. That bed has some sadness attached to it as it was purchased from a woman who had lost her husband of many years. Though he did not die in that bed, the feelings she felt while she laid down to sleep ( He wanted to go "home" for xmas, she didn't so he went back East and she stayed in Scottsdale and he dies three days later of a massive heart attack =( ) were left behind in the bed....does that make any sense? =\ I suppose I should do a smudging, but it hasn't occured to me that was any real need. I usually whisper that this isn't his bed any more and the activity stops for a few days but starts again. It's never been a nusance....could I be doing the entity more harm then good by not telling it to go into the light? ?_?
I have to agree though that the mental state in which one is in often attracts good and bad.... your personal fear and anger attract angry ghosties, whereas the good ghosties are more commonly attracted to the calm, open-minded people. There is an exception to every rule, though. =O

Update of my ghost...

It's been a while since I did the smudging to rid the bedroom of the angry ghost... I did 2 separate smudgings. It seems to have worked. He has not been back as far as I can tell. I still keep the cedar and sage in an abalone shell on my bedside table, along with my bible and some white candles. I burn the candles every night before bed. So far so good.

As for the ankle... the latest MRI showed that the achilles tendon has not healed, he put me on Celebrex to control swelling, but it made me vomit every 20 minutes for a week, so no more of that! Now he's talking about cortizone injections directly into the tendon. OOOOWWW! Apparently there seems to be another bone spur right at the base of the tendon that is keeping it irritated and swollen, thus not allowing it to heal. He is now talking about going back in and getting rid of the bone spur. Lucky me...

Thanks for all the good thoughts gang, you have no idea how much it all means to me.

And since I haven't done it in a while... the dancing naners!!!

We have lived in our house for twenty years.I have been pinched lightly, made feel that something was crawling on me.I have felt like I have bumped up against something.Had things thrown at me had things hid from me.Heard voices and smelled purfum.Seen things and I have even had something get in bed with me.I told it from day one I was here to stay so it is just going to have to put up with me and me it.I won't tell you I don't get scared but I have learned to cope.Just this morning it hid my bottle of Rolaids from me.I had an empty bottle and a full one.I grab the empty one put it back and looked around the room for the full one. When I turned back around it was setting beside me on my desk.It does stuff like that to me all the time.I do believe there is more than one.So you are not alone we are all in the same boat. I sure have been touched by ghosts and many times at that! Lots of times while I'm at the computer, I'll feel something tug on the bottom of my shirt, or touch my ankles and feet.

I remember once while watching a movie at my in-laws, I felt one of my husband's brothers (who were laying in the floor) grab my foot, I laughed thinking they were trying to scare me, but when I looked down, neither of them was anywhere near me. It wasn't a cold feeling either, it felt just like a warm hand taking hold of my foot. That was really the scariest one I ever remember.

I've only had a feeling of being touched since moving here. For the first 2 and 1/2 weeks, it was like we were being poked at with a finger or something. Tim felt this also.
I put white candles all over because I didn't like the feeling at all and prayed to whatever, whoever it was doing the poking to stop and sure enough, it's listened! ;-)
I'm very thankful about that!
The only thing still happening here is the light that appears on the ceiling of our bedroom... No explanation.
