This came out of a dream I had this morning...

Does anyone know of a 'ram/ewe head' rock formation? This one seemed fairly natural, but perhaps an eye was carved by man. It was covered with fine, fuzzy moss, which made me think of Ireland - but I don't feel like the dream necessarily took place there. It was down on the land (vs. bundled up in with other rocks in the mountains). Not a huge formation; a person could easily climb it.

Sorry if I sound silly... just trying to explain it as best I can and find out anything about it, if possible! :tease:

I don't know how much help this will be, but I looked up some things in the old dream book. I didn't find anything specifically about a rams head rock formation, so I'll just put down some individual things and you can pick out anything that sounds appropriate to your dream.

ram-the first sign of the zodiac, Aries. It is characterized by energy, aggression, and impulsiveness. In a dream, a ram may suggest that the dreamer rams headlong into situations that should be approached with more tact and consideration.

rock-usually embody stability and permanence, as signified by the expresion "solid as a rock". A lorge rock or boulder in a dream may indicate the dreamer is making a commitment to a relationship or contemplationg some change that will provide a more solid foundation.

eye-have many associations, and thus constitute a difficult symbol to interpret. Eyes are associated with wisdom, knowledge, enlightenment, perceptiveness, and gods and goddesses.

sheep-dreaming of sheep may indicate the dreamer feels uncreative and lacks initiative to venture out on his or her own. The dreamer may be just following along, letting others direct his or her life.

green(couldn't find any thing on moss)- healing and prosperity or "a green light to proceed.

I wonder why you mentioned an ewe instead of a sheep. Did you think of it as female? I also think that the eye might be important since it was evidently hard for you to see but you mentioned it any way. Also when I think of Ireland I think of green which is why the color green might be important rather than actully being moss. You mentioned that the formation could be climbed easily, where you thinking of climbing it in the dream? Like maybe you could to prove something but didn't need to? Just throwing out some first thoughts.

Well I hope this helps some. I'm pretty good at interpreting my own dream but I have yet to develope much of an instict with other peoples.

Wow, Renee, that was a cool interpretation!! There are sure some interesting possibilities here. It was kind of a tough one, with some things just not being available to look up.

Great going!!!

Thanks for looking all of that up, Renee!

Let's see... my bad for saying ram. It was indeed an ewe - no horns that I could see. Not sure why I said ram, but it just came out! =\

I was in a rather large house (not one I'm familiar with) and there were a lot of people there - sorta like a family reunion, but I only recall recognizing my brother, the rest were strangers. Actually, one guy looked like a dude from high school that I never knew very well.

I remember looking out this huge front window that overlooked a very spacious 'lawn' and seeing this rock formation in the distance. It was close enough to the house that I could see what looked like an eye in it, but not much detail about the eye. One of the people that was in the house with 'us' was seemingly a photography buff... he was out there climbing down from the rock formation with his camera around his neck.

I did a little poking around on the net, trying to find a pic of this formation and so far, nothing. But... I did find a couple curious things. I did the search with 'ram' in it too...

This site is tough to decifer (for me), but mentions Celts, druidry, goat-ram, serpents, etc. in the mess. I'm going to take a look around their site to see if I can find out more...

This description of this place in Ireland, the Muckross House and Gardens (Kerry), kind of reminded me of the setting in my dream. Big house, big green area outside, rock formations... but it doesn't look familiar to me - at least from this view. =\

Maybe it's just a whacky dream!
