I should probably tell you the preliminary history of one of my relatives, that agreed to come on our first Ghost Adventure to a cemetery in New market, Mn.
His name is Don, he's of German Ancestry; he is extremely intelligent, and goal oriented!
Don is my brother-in-law. We get along great together! And share many common interests, including the Supernatural Realm.
Back in the mid to late 70's Don was involved in a Goverment sponsored program researching people's ESP powers for the use of Remote Viewing for Espionage purposes. He was one of 5 college students involved in this research program, at SW Minn. State Univ.. The program was scrubbed after a while, either due to lack of funds, or lack of support by the Military. I never did know for sure. But he has vaguely talked about some of the weird experiences he encountered, back in those days, but never with any great detail.
Years later, well on the path to his current career goals; Don had a strange experience. While on his way to Canada to partake in a State Goverment sponsored Team Building week long Seminar, for State Employees. The vehicle that Don was riding in, along with other State Employees was detained at the Canadian Border. Because Don's name, had come up on the Inter-Pol.
The gaurds questioned him at length as to what his purpose for coming into Canada, was.
He said they seemed rather concerned about letting him into Canada, but after 2 hrs. of questions, they did allow his vehicle to pass through.
I can't imagine why his name would've come up on the Inter-Pol, if it weren't for his connection with the Espionage Research program he partook in back in the 70's.
Unless of course he some kind of Goverment Mole! LOL!
Any who, Don has always been extremely Spiritually inclined. Almost like he has been groomed for some Spiritual purpose. Guided and directed in his path in life, by forces from beyond.
As Don's career in the Education Field, grew so did the strange encounters in his life, grow in occurence.
For example while attending a meeting at Tribal School in Minn., Don was approached by a Native American whom he had never met before. The man told him, that he had, had a vision of Don and was directed in this vision to teach Don, the Lakota language.
Don was surprised at this revealation, but agreed to study with this man. At some point in time the man told Don that he had taught Don all that he could. But there was more for him to learn about the Native Language.
Some time passed before Don was once again approached by another Native American whom he didn't know; who told him he had, had a vision and that he had been instructed to continue Don's education in the Lakota, and Nakota languages.
Sounds weird Huh?!
Over the years the strangness continued!
A few years ago, Don had approached a Psychic for a reading. The Psychic laid out the cards. Looked at them, and with a shocked expression on her face, she scooped up the cards and refused to give him a reading. After some time had passed, he again approached another Psychic for a reading. Again the new Psychic laid out the cards, looked at them and aburptly scooped up the cards refusing to give him a reading.
He tried to encourage her to continue, reassuring her that she had the skills to give him a reading, and his permission to continue, no matter what, she had seen in the cards.
Again she refused to do a reading for him, apologising she said, "You should be doing a reading for me!"
He hasn't been to a psychic again, though he still would like too.
So any way, Don has been monitoring my Ghostly Adventures from afar for the most part. He did go on a couple of weekend thriller (spur of the moment ghost hunts). Aswell as having viewed my ghost phtos, and encouraged my pursuits in this field.
The last several weeks have given rise to several opportunities to conduct some rather strange Ghostly Adventures, in the greater Minneapolis, Mn region.
With Don, being the focal point of the strangeness that occurred during our New Market adventures.
Though, I will have to refrain from telling you the rest of the story for now. As I am all tuckered out, from all this typing!
I will continue with the details of our Ghostly Tales tomorrow, or as time, and my level of energy allows.

Approx. 3 wks ago I went up to Mn. to visit my sister and her husband "Don", and their family. The kids, are all adults now.
The kids live in a greater metropolitan area that boasts a variety of entertainment avenues, all available practically anytime of day or night.
Even Ghost Hunting, but they do not know how to acquire this entertainment value on there own.
To them, I'm kind of an "Uncle Buck" type of character. The type of uncle who can make everyday mundane life, an adventure to be lived.
They always tell there friends that they love coming to visit me in NW Iowa, because NW Iowans are so remote and cut off from civilised forms of entertainment. If you want to have any fun here, you need to create your own fun. Besides Ghost Hunting, we go on UFO Hunitng Expeditions, Native American Archeology expeditions, aswell as exploring creeks and river beds for natural treasures, while sometimes they are forced to help ol' Uncle Dave out of the occassional quicksand hole he falls into. (If anyone is going to find those pesky pockets of quick sand, it'll be me.)
Well the kids were chomping at the bit for another home spun adventure.
As we were preparing to go out Ghost Hunting that night, out of the blue I asked Don if he would want to go along. I never imagined he would take me up on the offer, as he has such a busy schedule.
So I was thrilled when he accepted my invitation.
I explained to everyone how the adventure would be conducted, showed them how to use the EMF Detectors, and the Diving Rods. We gathered up our cameras, of which my nephew had barrowed a friend's Sony night vision 8mm cmacorder. Where we headed out to a cemetery that none of us had ever been to before, nor did we know anything about this cemetery.
We arrived at the New Market, Mn. cemetery, around 11:30 pm. This is a particularly nice cemetery that cascades down a small hillside below the Church it is situated with. There is a winding paved lane that gently corkscrews it way around the knoll of the hill. On one side of the lane is a steep precarious slope, that has been lined with pine trees to act as a natural gaurd rail to protect motorists from running off the road way.
The cemetery it's self, is blanketed by large security lights mounted on the side of the church facing out into the cemetery. Which both hinders and helps would be Ghost Hunters.
When facing the lights their glare is diminished by the silouettes of the numerous tall old tombstone, that rise up across the knoll. As if they were soldiers marching towards the enemy lines.
We spread out in groups of 2-3 people testing the area for any spikes in the earth's Electro- Magnetic Field. We canvased the cemetery from the top towards the bottom. Just when I felt like this adventure was going to be a bust, Don began to get a few minor blips on my modified Cell Sensor. Frustrated with the limitations of modern science, Don turned off the CellSensor and said let's try this the old fashioned way.
With that he cleared his mind of all the cluttering thoughts of his everyday life. He quickly rubbed his palms back and forth, as if a house fly cleaning it's legs. Then he opened his mind and concentration to the world around him. Spreading his arms outward, as he lowered them down to his sides with his palms turned outward. To begin his search for the energy that had tripped the Cell Sensor.
.................................................
I'm sorry, but again I'm all tired out, and will have to try and finish this tomorrow.

I became mesmerised as I watched Don slowly paced down the side of the knoll. He seemed to be very intent and deliberate in his search of the source of the unknown energy.
Don stopped at the base of the knoll. His daughter-in-law Ann was apparently more intune or observant of Don's behavior than was I. She called out to him asking, "Don are you all right?" There was no response. Again with more inflection in her voice she said, "Don! Are you all right!?....Don, you're swaying...Don! You are swaying!!"
With a sudden jolt in my heart rate, I moved in on Don's left side as Ann approached from the right. We both lent support to Don's arms as he had become nonresponsive to Ann's questions. His body was swaying slightly, as his legs began to giveway beneath him. As he slumped to towards the grown, we braced him; and yelled for help!
Luckily Don's 19 yr. old son was close by recording the events on the Sony Night cam. He stopped the cam and raced to his Dad's side, to assist him.
Don was fairly unresponsive to our verbal inquiries, though occassionally would respond with a one word answer. Don's legs were like jello, and his ankles would turn under him. I had to instruct Don to stand on the bottoms of his feet, as he was trying to ambulate while walking on his ankles.
I instructed everyone in our group to pack it in for the night as, Don was clearly not mentally with us anymore.
Giving Don support and simple commands in how to walk, we headed back to our cars, unsure of what to make of Don's experience. All the while trying to get Don to respond to us verbally. Hopefully showing signs that he had not slipped totally into the realm of the nether world!
.................................................
Since it is the 4th of july, I will take a short brake, and come back to this in a little while.

I was at a loss to explain what had happened to Don. I had never before been witness to such an event, and was unprepared for this contingency. The only thing I could think of to do, was to put on a brave face for the others in this Ghost Hunting Party, and pretend that I knew what to do.(Inwardly however, the only thing constructive I could think to do. Was to treat Don like I would if he had, had an epileptic seizure.)
I tried to orient Don to his surroundings, asking, "Don, do you know what your name is?" Don spoke in a whisper, "Yes."
Me: "Don do you know where you are?" Don turned and looked at me with a questioning stare on his face; as if he was unable to decipher what was happening to him. I asked, "Don can you explain what happened to you back there?"
With that Don attempted to pull away from us, trying to go back to the grave site we had just left. We struggled briefly with him, demanding that he return to the car with us. While reassuring him that we could return on another night, to resume our activities there.
My thoughts were racing, as this Ghost Hunt had gone terribly wrong! I did't know what to do, or where to turn for help. Should I call 911 and get an ambulance out there? Was Don having a stroke? A heart attack? A Psychotic misadventure? Did someone pee their pants? I smell a strong odor of urine! Oh Gwad! I hope Don hasn't lost control of his bodily functions! I thought. What a nightmare!
What was the family going to think?
Afterall we had gathered together this weekend to celebrate a surprise birthday party for Don's oldest son A.J., who was turning 30. (A.J. is Ann's husband). Thankfully he refrained from going on this ghost hunt, as he is a skeptic. The less he knew, the less it would ruin his Birthday weekend.
By the time we returned to the cars, Don was finally fairly alert, and was attempting to explain what had happened to him in the cemetery.
................................................
More to come later, sorry!

We gathered around the parked cars, and viewed the video that had been shot. The paranormal activity had actually started to occur minutes before Don's episode.
Apparently the camera had Don in focus as he stood in the third row of tombstones at the bottom of the knoll. We looked in amazement as we witnessed the strangest thing. The camera was set on "auto focus", and though Don was in focus something moved between Don and the camera partially blurring the footage that was being shot. The blurred form moved right to left towards where I stood, and blurred the footage as my nephew followed it with the camera. Then it return towards Don. We also noticed that if a human stood near one of the tombstones the picture would come into focus, but if they moved out of the framed shot with the Sony night cam the camera would blurr the shot. It would remain blurred until someone would go back up to the tombstone. No one could explain what would cause this to happen.
Then we asked Don if he felt comfortable enough to explain what had happened to him back in the cemetery.
Don said he had opened himself up to the Spirit energy in the cemetery. Becoming aware of everything surrounding him. As if he were encapsulated in a bubble of energy, but to which he allowed the Spirits to enter into this protective area around him.
He said, he was sensing the spirit of a young man in his 20's. He described him as being a happy go lucky sort of fellow, who had long stringy brown hair. The spirit's name was "Nate", and that that Nate spent his time roaming the cemetery trying to find his younger brother's grave. Nate indicated that he new that his brother was dead, but didn't know when he died, how he had died, or where he was buried.
I asked Don if he could help Nate cross over to the other side. Could he let Nate know that his family and loved ones were waiting for him on the other side. Could he instruct Nate to go towards the light?
Don indicated that Nate, was unaware that (Nate) was dead.
Don said that he wanted to return to the cemetery the next night to see if he could help Nate find his brother's grave. And to find more out about Nate to help him cross over.
.................................................
Well the fireworks are about to be shot off so I have to close for the night. I will resume the story and tell of the next night's events, tomorrow!
I hope you all had a great 4th of July!

The following night we took along a few extra family members who expressed a desire to go with us, after viewing the video footage.
My sister Mary and their 2nd oldest son Aaron, and his girlfriend came along with us, aswell as Mike a friend of the family, and who's Sony camera we had been using. My sister is a nurse and I was happy that she was going so she could ascertain Don's mental/physical health when he goes into his trance like state.
Aaron is a young strapping male and would be a great accent to lending a helpful hand in providing support to Don when he becomes physically disabled due to this trance.
We arrived to the New Market cemetery shortly after 11 pm.. I thought we should just go state to the bottom of the knoll where Don encountered the energy levels.
Don insisted that we start at the top and work our way down to that spot, just as we had the night before. So that's what we did. Don said he wasn't sure where he had encountered Nate, and wanted to retrace his path.
I insisted that Don make a concerted effort to remain in touch with us, when he slips into this trance. So we could ascertain how deep he was slipping into it, so we could intervein and bring him back before he was overtaken by the Spirit. Since none of have sufcient knowledge in knowing how to assist a person who is under the power of such a trance.
Don said that when in this trance his focus is on the Spirit and not us. He said he can hear us talk to him, but that we sound as if we are 2 blocks away, and he has a hard time hearing what we are saying.
I told Don that if we ever have a comatose Patient at work, that the Doctors will perform a "Titty Twister" on the Pt. to ascertain the Pt.'s responsiveness. I asked Don if we had his permission to do this to him, to bring him out of the trance; if we felt he was slipping to far into the trance.
Everyone laughed at the thought of the suggesttion. Don said that a "Titty Twister" wouldn't work because he wouldn't even feel it. He described that the level of the trance that he was in the night before, would have been a "3". With a scale of 1-10, 10=the deepest level. Don said at a level of 8-9 his pulse would be so subdued that if you weren't extremely good at taking a person's pulse, you think the the person was dead.
I said there was no way that I was going to allow him to go that deep into the trance. And we would take what ever steps we felt neccessary to pull him out of the trance.
Don said he was comfortable with that; but that he wanted us to let him get deeper into it than he had the previous night. We agreed, with some contention on account of our fear of losing him to the other side. With that, we began our Ghostly adventure!
We again broke up into loose nit small groups or pairs, and fanned out across the cemetery. However we didn't encounter any activity till we strolled down the knoll's hillside.
Again the activity started in the 3rd row, of tombstones. The Sony night cam again was experiencing problems focusing in on the tombstones there. But if a member of our party walked near the tombstones the picture would readily come into focus.
Don began his natural quest to find the energy, of course all eyes were on Don from this point on.
