Don again allowed the Spirit energy to infuse with his being. Again Don wasbeginning to sway, with his knees rapidly buckling beneath him. Aaron and I provided support for Don, and we lowered him to his knees. Don leaned forward landing on his hands/knees. His body was shaking with increasing frequency. It appeared that it was everything that he could do to remain on his hands/knees and to try to avoid being crushed to the ground. Don complained of feeling an extreme weight being on his back. As if a 200 lb. man were standing on his back. He said it was the worst pain he had ever felt. Eventually he succombed to the pain and weight and collasped to the ground.
Don indicted that he was laying on the grave of "Nate's" brother. He said that he could almost touch Nate's brother's boot. (As we witnessed Don reaching out with his right hand, as if he were gliding his hand over the rounded toe of a soldier's boot.) Though there was no boot to be seen by us.
Don was laying on a grave marked only by a plain white wooden cross made from a 4X4 piece of wood. There was no name inscribed on the cross, which lends credinence to the idea that Nate was unable to find his Brother's grave. How could he if there was no name on it.
The grave next to this grave was that of a Pvt. William Pauley who was killed during WWI. I wondered if William Pauley's middle name was Nathaniel?
On our next visit to the cemetery (hopefully a daylight visit) we will have to scour the cemetery looking for Nate's grave. Though we don't know Nate's last name. Nor the name of his brother (first or last). But perhaps if we can locate a grave with the name of Nate, Nathaniel, or perhaps Nathan maybe be we will be a little closer to solving this nether world riddle.
But back to Don. Mary became alarmed by Don's behavior and his growing weakness, that we decided to insist that Don cease his activities. Don was verbally resistive to this plan of action, but did cooperate when he was overpowered by Aaron's and my efforts to sit him up, and then get him to his feet.
Again Don was not very responsive to us or his surroundings. he again was trying to walk on his ankles, and needed simple commands just to assist us in walking him back to the vehichles.
Though with in an hour he insisted that he was coherent enough to drive back home.
The strange thing was, that in reviewing this last night's video; Don seemed to have aged 20-30 yrs.. That's just how physically draining this experience was to him. The next day he showed no signs of this aged appearence.
Don has expressed a desire to return to the cemetery, to try and help Nate cross over to the other side.
My only insistence was that he prepare a team of experienced Soul Rescuers to assist him in this quest. When and if he does this, I most certainly want to be there to witness it, and to ensure that the event is captured on video tape.
I'll keep you posted if we ever return to the New Market Cemetery, and any future Ghostly adventures that we may have there.
