Hello everyone I'm new to some of you and I would like to share my pics from Myrtles Platation. I visited the Myrtles this past June and had a awsome time. Great pics! I went to the Myrtles a few months ago. Granted, we just went on the day tour, but I just wasn't too impressed. It seemed so commercial, and the people working there were rather surly. Such a shame for such a wonderful old home. Anyway, staying over night does sound like fun, and we may do that sometime.
I'm really interested in your cemetary pics! Would you mind telling me where this cemetary is? I live in Southeast Texas, and I'm always looking for places to take some photos.

Hi Carrie I live in Mont Belvieu it's north of Baytown. The cemetery is a historical family cemetery (Barbers Cemetery)it was est. in early 1800's. A lot of history on this piece of property too. The Barbers would help and feed the soilders that where going to the San Jacinto battle ground (the battle for Texas independence). I hope this helps, Ally

Awesome pic's Ally! I noticed that two of the ppictures the background shot was a little faded or blurry. Do you remember what events took place during the taking of those pictures that might explain the faded appearance?

I'm always so jealous of poeple who actually get to do things like that. I have never been able to go to a cemetery, letalone at night. I thought I had a ghost in my office and although I still firmly believe that, I was never able to "catch" anything on film. =\

I really enjoyed looking at your pics!! Thanks so much for sharing them with us! I was especially impressed with the two shots from New Orleans.

The last one, looks a little bit like maybe there was some camera jiggle here, since the light trails morror one another so closely Do you remember how this one was taken, and is it possible that someone bumped you, or anything?? I am just curious. Being a photographer myself, I know that things like this can easily happen.

Please don't take this as a negative criticism, not at all... OK? I don't mean to criticize in a negative way, but just trying to look objectively at anything that I see like this. It is rather odd that the lines at the top of the pic don't appear to be involved in the motion that the others are doing... so, maybe this will really just be a bit of a mystery to us all. In such a haunted place, I wouldn't be surprised. =)
