Cindy,

Did you ever find out anything about that pile of sand you found in the middle of the carpet? =O I forget when that happened.... back in Feb or March? ?_? Just curious if you have any news on it. =)

Yup we all still talk about our mystery sand around here. Here's a short version of what happened.

It was about the middle of February of this year and cold as a polar bear's butt! We had left to take my daughter to her ice skating lesson. My husband had gone upstairs to lay down because he wasn't feeling well. We left through our backdoor off the kitchen and did not notice anything. Now when we came home about two hours later, first thing we saw was a pile of sand laying on our rug in front of the sink. It was shaped like a pyramid, just like someone had stood there and poured it out of their hand. I woke my husband up and he was dumbfounded. I guess we all just stood there for the longest time with our mouths hanging open. I wish now we had thought to take a picture of it.

We live nowhere near the beach, have no sandbox, and no reason at all for any sand to be in our house. I've been told that maybe our ghosties were trying to tell us we needed a vacation ;-)

I did send what I could scrape up to Jim and his team, but all they discovered was that it was indeed sand LOL. Plain old sand....even had a few small seashells in it. When I had posted this at GS, I did have a man tell me he had heard of this phenomenon happening before at another house that had an investigation done. I guess on occasion ghost teams have seen sand, coins, and other objects literally drop down out thin air. I guess we will never know what that was all about.

I told my ghosties that the next time they want my attention to please just leave money =D

I remember that story! That is just plain weird! I remember a story on the Travel Channel about haunted castles in Ireland. I believe it was at Leap Castle that the owner found herself being pelted with lemon seeds in the kitchen.
The closest to anything like that I've had personally was finding little dime sized puddles of blood that had absolutely no explanation -- never could find the cause, but it happened about four times. I should have had that analyzed!

Carrie that is really creepy too! Yeah next time something strange like that happens find someone who will analyze it for you.

In the past week or so, I keep finding pennies.....always 3 at a time. We found 3 in our parking lot last night. Really odd.

Sand with seashells even! Hmm! You aren't close to water, are you? Certainly not the sea! :tease: Well, I wonder what it means when they leave sand behind for you?

Yep... we've had money tossed at us before too. Very strange. I think it was dimes for Mare.... it hurt too!

Nope Kell, we don't live anywhere near water. We have to travel 45 minutes just to get to the nearest lake for the kids to swim. Plus, this happened in February. If it had been in the summer, we would have figured one of us accidentally brought home some sand in our pocket. Weird huh!

Darn ghosties! They throw pennies, dimes, and sand. Where are the $100 bills???
