My father's mother died when he was only 8 y/o. Not long after her death, she appeared to him one night at the foot of his bed! =O! Anyhow, thinking back, he believes she was around his house more than he realized at the time...
At about age 12-14, he was home alone one day. One of his chores was to take more wood up to his parents' bedroom (his father had remarried). While up there, he saw about 1/2 pack of cigs on the nightstand and thought "hmm! Maybe I'll have one of these - they won't notice one missing" -(naughty kid :lol: ). He took the ciggy downstairs and set it on the phone table in the hall and went to do something real quick, intending to come right back and light up. When he returned, the ciggy was gone! =O
He spent the rest of the day looking all over the house for it (or intruders!). He never found it. We think it was probably his real mother who had passed away some years earlier who 'took' the ciggy, so her little boy wouldn't smoke it. ;-)
