Marilyn died 40 years ago. And still the mystery surrounds her death. Was she murdered because of her connection with JFK? What are you thoughts on this?

I have always felt that Marilyn Monroe was murdered, and I do believe that it was her connection to John and Bobby Kennedy. The FBI was bugging her house... she even used pay telephones sometimes to insure her own privacy. I totally believe that she became too much a a danger to the Kennedy family, because she knew too much. She had a sad life that came to a very sad end. I always have felt sorry for her.

I agree with Mare. The poor woman was a tormented soul. I've even had the theory that if JFK and Bobby didn't twist someone's arm into doing the job, then some political svengali who was close to them had it done for their "protection." I have a lot of respect for the Kennedy family. They make wonderful politicians, but if I'm not mistaken, lousy husbands. Both of the gents should have kept their pants zipped. Had they, I'm sure poor MM would be alive and kickin' today.

Yes, I saw a show on t.v. one time stating that the makers of the show at least believed with their whole hearts that she was indeed murdered because of her association with JFK. I can't remember many details now, but I believe they even found some evidence on her body showing she had been given a shot of something that might have been what killed her. She certainly was a beautiful woman and sadly had her life cut short so quickly! If she was murdered it is a shame that those involved will never come to justice!

I agree with Mare 110% on this subject... She could have caused trouble if she wanted too!

I have always found Peter Lawford's part in this interesting... the way he was involved in kind of covering up the comings and goings of the Kennedy's coming to Hollywood, and it was actually to visit Marilyn, but visits were made to look like they were there to see Lawford. I have never totally figured this one out... No one ever seemed to question him about what happened to Marilyn, and I'll bet he knew more than anyone ever suspected.

That is a point I had not really thought about. Wasn't there a rumor also of mafia involvement in her death? Seems like I saw a show that made mention of something like that. That would fit with Lawford's involvement with the Rat Pack and Sinatra's ties with the mafia. Hmmm....
