Well, it was all pretty relaxed, nothing to say about the smudging itself but I have to say, I felt it worked well!
Last night, when I went to bed, I closed my eyes and all I could see was a beautiful white light! It was the most awesome experience I ever had and the best feeling! It was so serene, peaceful, contented! It's hard to even put into words!
I say whatever negative energy was in here is gone... at least I hope that's what the white light meant! I do know that I had the best sleep that I've had in ages!

Have you ever experienced something that's like ... "unreal"...
I might sound like a fruitcake but it felt like it was "someplace" not "something".
Am I  ?

Not a fruitcake at all! From what you shared I would gather that "it" went away. Smudging's are intended to leave the place with the white light of love and protection. Since you had the best sleep in ages, I would further venture to say that it did it's job.

Now is the time, however (if this wasn't done at the time of the smudging) to lay out that sea salt! You want to keep whatever nasties that might want to come back on the outside of your place of peace (both inside your home and your heart/mind/body/soul). Also a word of caution: be careful how you think. I know that sounds "crazy" but I am firm believer that we create things with our thoughts. your thoughts will start to manifest things in order to confirm the thought, do you understand? I know that things between you and Tim are "fragile" and your faith (not necessarily religion) is tested. Now, more then ever it's important to think loving, happy, peaceful white light oriented thoughts. Something I used to do after smudgings was to light an incense and then take the ash from the incense stick and use it to mark the wall above every window and door with the symbol of the cross. I don't know if it was that it really helped or it was just my faith in that it would work or a combination of both, but that (in combination with the sea salt) always helped keep nasties at bay.

Here's to "it" being gone for GOOD! ;-)

I am glad it seemed to work. But do keep up the positive thoughts and prayers. Keep visualizing the white light and be careful not to invite anything back by accident.

Thanks! I'm glad we did the sea salt right after smudging...
I will definitely keep thinking positively, I don't need the nasty things in my life.
My paxil has kicked in, helping me cope nicely (well, nicer  ) with a lot of the stress and I'm feeling more comfortable about the marriage, feeling a great sense that we're on the right track and on top of that, I'm not being such a paranoid mother and I am letting my girls play in the backyard on their swings, etc while I'm in the house (ok, so I'm in the kitchen window staring at them but that's still a start  )
I have time to myself, I MAKE THE TIME and I spoke to the "nasty" before smudging, as silly as I might have sounded, I told it that it wasn't welcome here and it wouldn't succeed in scaring me or anyone else here, and had to leave! The smudge was the good kick in the butt it needed to know I would back up my words!

Miss Grrl, the symbolizing over windows and doors sounds like a wonderful idea. I'm going to do that and I feel that will give me added comfort, to keep remembering my faith will always get me through (and you guys of course  )
Thanks!
Nancy
