This afternoon I was at the computer when my Steve rushed in the room saying " I know who our ghost is! It's Puddin." He said that he was washing his face in the bedroom sink when he saw something move out of the corner of his eye, he turned around to look just in time to see a fluffly grey backside and tail disappear around the corner. Puddin was my grey persian that died almost 5 yrs ago. Dec. 17 will be 5 yrs. Steve didn't have his glasses on and even though he can't see much without them he was sure that it wasn't a shadow. He said that he definately saw Puddins back end and fluffy tail.

I once thought I saw Puddin run under his favorite chair, a few weeks after he died, but I was never sure if my eye's were playing tricks on me or if I just missed him so bad that I saw what I wanted to see. Then last month I had gotten up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and saw black smoke right by were his favorite chair used to be. Again I wasn't sure that my half asleep eyes weren't playing tricks on me, I blinked and there was nothing there. A few days ago I thought I saw him again in the wicker chair(in the same spot his favorite chair was), he looked like an outline or drawing-like something far off that I could barely see- this time he was curled up on the chair cushion and I thought he turned his head towards me. I blinked and nothing was there.

I don't know who is causing the disturbances with the lights. It could be Puddin, he had a great sense of humor, but I'm not really sure that it's him that's doing it. It does seem to be a fact that comes to visit now and again. Well, whether it's him or not that causes funky things to happen here, I will always be happy to see him.

Aww, it's Puddin'!!! How neat that you've been able to see him so many times. Very cool that Steve was able to see him so clearly, even without his glasses. Wouldn't it be cool to lay out some talcum powder on or near the chair he likes so well to see if anything shows up (overnight)? I know those are old tactics, but I've also heard of them working for people... in fact, it had to do with a ghost cat in someone's house!

As for the lights.... those disturbances don't coincide with Puddin' sightings, do they? Or have you noticed? I don't suppose, since Puddin' is near, that it would be too unusual for someone else to tag along, or 'come through', as it were. But I don't know for sure! [Nutty]

I am sure that our animals are around us. My Cinnamon kitty would jump on my bed and purr when she was gone. Then it just stopped. But I know that someday I will see her again. She was my special kitty. She found me and not the other way. It was very odd and almost spiritual how we found each other. She came when I needed her most and left 5 years later (feline leukemia) when I was ready to move on with life. She was sent from heaven to help me. I am sure of it.

Renee,

How wonderful that your furbaby is visiting you! We had to put my angel cat, Socks to sleep several months ago and we can still feel him jump up on the bed sometimes and lay by our legs. The first few times it really creeped us out, but now it comforts us to know he is still with us!

Pets are just so wonderful that way, aren't they. Kell, I can't really tell if the other disturbances are associated with Puddin sightings because the things that we have thought could be him are so few and far between. I get the impression that he doesn't really means for us to see him. I think that he comes to watch over us and enjoy his home sometimes. I have always felt him around me. Nothing tangible, but just a feeling that he watchs over us and protects us. I believe that he led me to Molly. He knew that we needed her. In many ways she is very much like him.

Kim, like your Cinnamon, my Puddin also came to me in a time of need. I was only 12 or 13 when he came to live with us and very unhappy. He was mine right from the beginning and always took care of me. When they are the ones that find you there's no sense arguing about it, you just take them in like your supposed to. It's amazing how you sometimes know right from the start that this creature is connected to you and it's meant to be. You can't see anything that say's it, but you feel it in your heart.

Cindy, I'm so sorry that you had to put Socks to sleep. It's alway hard when you realize that the final gift you can give them will be the one that will take them away from you. He must have loved you very much to come back and sleep by his people. He still enjoys his home and watches over you. I comforts me too. They never loose that place in your heart and even when you stop grieving, you still love them like you always did. I think it's that way for our pets too. They never forget you.

Renee, that is so cool that you've been able to identify Puddin! Especially that your husband has seen her too! I like Kell's idea about the talcum powder, it would be an interesting experiment. She has a point also about maybe someone else coming through. Playing with the lights sounds more like a people thing than a cat thing. It wouldn't hurt to snap some pictures just to see if anything comes up!
