We've been having something a little odd happen at the house and I'm wondering if anyone else has ever experienced something similar.
Our house has a lot of windows (as many as eight in a room), and I have miniblinds and sheer curtains in almost all of them. Anyone who has had miniblinds recognizes the sound they make when something is brushed up against them.
I've been hearing this sound almost on a daily basis, usually in the late afternoon when I'm in the kitchen, or another part of the house. It sounds like it is coming from the guest bedroom, where we've had quite a bit of activity.
I've looked for logical explanations, I've even thought a lizard or snake (my greatest fear) might have gotten in and become entangled in them. We've searched the house several times and come up with nothing.
Is this something our other resident is doing? I've gotta say, if I were a ghost, I'd think of something more creative to do than play with the miniblinds! Is this something to get my attention, is she just having a look out the window, or is she getting some amusement at having me do a thorough search of my house? Incidentally, the windows were this sound comes from is right beside the spot where we had the dizzying feeling and thought may have been a portal of some sort.

In my last place I had those vertical blinds over the windows and one of them used to vibrate from time to time. Just like if a breeze caught it just right. But with no windows open.
Why? Good question. I used to hear a tap on the wall every night just after I went to bed. It sounded just like one of my wall hangings being pulled from the wall about a foot, turned to the wall and let go. The wind does this sometimes. But to happen almost every night at different times of the day and just after I had laid down to sleep? A curious thing. I never found out why that happened. If it was physical or just auditory.
Is it supposed to scare us? It kind of did at first. But in the years it happened, it never bothered me. Just a point of curiousity. I never explored it and it never changed. You think if it was something done to get me to do something it's intensity would change or something else would be tried.
Sorry, Carrie. All I came up is with more questions. I don't know why some of these strange things happen or why they are done.

I wondered the same thing Nakis, about why it didn't change it's tactics when it had gotten my attention. I feel like a nut running to the guest bedroom trying to catch it in case I see anything. [Nutty]

Did it get attention or did the blinds get attention? Did to talk to it and acknowledge it was there? "OK, I know you're here. Since you've obviously got the knack of making noise with these things, let me show you how to open and close them." Maybe it just wants to look out occationally or maybe the suns a bit too bright?

Well, that is an idea Connie! Maybe it just wants to look out the window. I might try leaving those blinds open more. The morning sun is pretty bright in that room, so I usually just leave the blinds shut. Oddly enough, this usually happens around early afternoon. I have acknowledged with a "hey, I know you are there." I don't know if I want her fooling with my blinds though, I think I'll just open them for her!

Carrie, I think if i were you i'd try setting up a camcorder in the room were the noise is coming from, or a tape recorder. Maybe they are trying to tell you something and might just show theirself or something. It might be worth a try.

I need to take more pictures in there. We did get a good orb in one photo we took. I'll get my courage up to do an EVP, but gosh, they give me the willies! [Tease]
