Nah, go about it however you feel is best. Maybe just mention to him to be extra cautious of anyone he pulls over in a black truck (like you describe - or just leave it at black truck), or in general while he's on the job.
Actually, you could mention it by asking if he's pulled anyone over in a black truck recently. He'll either say yes or no and ask why. Depending on how he answers, you'll be able to gague how he feels about stuff like this and can fill him in on as much as you feel comfortable with. If he HAS pulled over a weirdo in a black truck recently, he'll more than likely be very interested to hear what you have to say. If he hasn't, but you still have strong feelings about it, yet don't feel comfy getting into details, just say something like "I don't know, just be careful, okay?" He'll keep that in mind.
