Thanks so much-

I'm delighted to be here. I live in a town with several haunted spots: the Whaley House, the Hotel Del Coronado, and The Horton Grand Hotel, to name a few.

Oooh, interesting! They just did a bit on the Horton Grand Hotel last night on Haunted Hotels on the Travel Channel. [Smile] Have you been to any of those places?

Yes, I've been to all 3. The Horton Grand was moved, brick by brick, to a spot that, when I was about 5, used to be a cluster of about 20 identical, tiny Chinese rowhouses. My dad and I used to walk by and smell wonderful smells of cooking, and see families sitting on their stoop. I've been to teas, bridal showers and hosted my Grandmother's 90th birthday there and never felt a thing. The Whaley House, though, is another matter. And at the Hotel Del Coronado, I spent my 2nd anniversary dinner with my ex-husband. As we were walking out, I said "this has been really fun, I wonder what else we'll do this evening" and every light as far as the eye could see went black instantaneously. It was eery. One other place here that I've had strong feelings is on a large Schooner that's permanently docked here, called the Star of India. It's several hundred years old and twice I have heard sounds on the lowest deck that made me very uneasy.

Hi Juliebelle!!! Welcome to SpiritKeep!! It is great to have someone who is so near to all of those great haunts! You will have to tell us about them in more detail sometime.

I have also been aboard the Star of India. It gave me a rather strange feeling, but I was never sure why, until recent years when I have become much more attuned to the paranormal. I have also been aboard the Queen Mary, which isn't too very far from you either, is it? Now, that is one awesome place!! I would like top go aboard it again sometime. I really wish that they would get their webcam operating again!

Anyway, I am glad to meet you, and I hope that you will make yourself comfortable here in our little corner of cyberspace. Relax and kick back, and shoot the breeze with a very nice group of people!!! If you need help with any thing, just ask. [Smile]

Welcome to the board Juliebelle. San Diego is a great city. I haven't been there in years but I did enjoy the time I spent there. I even went sailing there.
I hope you enjoy yourself here.

Hi Juliebelle,

Welcome to SpiritKeep! [Nanner Man] I keep planning on getting to the Whaley House but just haven't got to it yet. I'm going to have to make sure I go. I ate dinner on the Queen Mary once as a child and I would love to go again. From what I've heard both those places have a great deal of activity.
