I was 12 years old. Most of the kids from my class had gone to camp. I didn't want to, I was having trouble with my health and was having some 'peer' difficulties as a result of it (not my doing). Anyway, there were about five of us that stayed behind and one afternoon we were left to our own devices.
We were in the library and we were talking. One of them suggested we have a seance. Automatically, I had bad vibes and started shaking (like something continuously walked upon my grave). I immediately knew it would be a bad idea and tried to discourage the other four from doing it.
They were hatching a plan. How about we go out by the locker area. Since the classroom isn't in use, no one will know we are there.
I had a seriously bad feeling. It was in the afternon after 2pm and after a while of trying to discourage it, knowing that we would be meddling with something we knew nothing about, I finally succeeded. There was no seance that day.
Funny that I had a bad feeling about something I knew little about. The only guidance I had was my gut instinct and horror movies I had seen before that.
I still won't take part in one. I truly believe they're a bad idea, my 'sixth' sense tells me so.

Lefora, I firmly believe you averted some sort of problem by going with your gut feeling. A difficult thing to do at 12 when you already have peer problems.

There have been a handful of times I have had overwhelming feelings that were not the norm for me given the situations I was in. Like walking home alone alone late at night, when I have done it a million times. For me to ask (beg really) somebody to walk me home, it has to be bad. But I believe I am here today cause I listened to my gut feelings those time.

Everyone that 6th sense to some degree. We need to acknowledge it and learn to use it to the best of our abilities.

I think a lot of kids try things, like ouija boards, etc... without knowing what they are really getting into. And of course, the little dears, myself included at that age, end up trying it at least once. I'm glad you were wise enough at that young of an age, Lefora, not to fall prey to peer pressure.
I agree with what Jeannie said about all of us having a sixth sense to some degree or another. I know several times, I have gone another route on my way home, only to find that I may have avoided a horrible accident. I have learned to trust my gut instincts more as I have gotten older.

It's amazing how your sixth sense not only protects you from physical harm but spiritual. I agree with everything you both said and it still amazes me that that extra sense provides protection (if we can hear it) from more than just the natural world
