I just saw a phantom (ghost) dog as I was walking down to the chemist with my mutly. I won't go into too much detail yet, but I saw this in broad daylight. Anyone else ever seen anything like that? Ghostly animals? I could even hear the pitter patter of its paws on the concrete!!

Well my kitty still visits. Both my hubby and I have seen him. How cool that you saw the dog like that. Do you have any ideas about why he was there? Is he connected to you in some way or to the area?

I have no clue as to why I saw this dog. I've never seen it before and the only thing I can come up with is maybe it died on that road. Who's to know.

I've got a cat that makes herself known but gee Lefora, if you've got a little time, I'd like to hear the details. Where did you see it, how could you tell it was a ghost, how did your own doggy react? [Wink]

Interesting, Lefora! I'm surprised you saw this one out on the street vs. one of your own past pets in your house, but hey - it can happen! [Toothy Grin] I think we tend to see these forms when we least expect it, so it always seems to come as a surprise.

I like the dog graphic on that page too!

Wow! Could be one of those haunting where a moment in time was caught and it plays over. Would be interesting if you could be at the same place and time to see if it reappears.

On my way home yesterday I walked back down that same street but it never reappeared. I didn't really expect it to. Something must have triggered it off. Perhaps month day time?

Lefora, did you have your dog with you yesterday? Maybe something about your dog "called to" the phantom dog. In the story on your website you mentioned your dog barking at another dog prior to you seeing the ghost dog...maybe the ghost is sensitive to dog's emotions?

I know my dog is very aware of the spiritual. I catch her staring into what I think is space, but she's actually fixed on something I can't see. Quite often I ask her, what can you see that I don't? What's there..that kind of thing. I know everyone's attitude towards their mutleys is love and everything, but I really feel close to my dog and I think she's a very spiritual doggie if you know what I mean.
Dogs can't tell you how they are feeling, what they're thinking etc, but this one I have, she is very expressive with her body language, her eyes, her brows, the furrow lines and especially the noises she makes. For a mongrel, she's a very intelligent dog. Maybe they were sensitive to each other, I don't know.

That does make sense. Animals are very sensitive to spirits in my opinion. In one of the houses I lived in with my parents, I had a little dog who would play around a tree where someone had hung themselves. She would just dance around on her hind legs just like someone was really there, playing with her. Sounds like your doggie picked up on this other animal!

I think you're right carrie...boy this post is LATE. But yeah, I agree, she picked up on it, I'm just surprised I did to the extent I did...ie visuals!
It was kind of cool though. I absolutely love dogs and although I was ready to tell this thing to leave my pooch alone (since mine was muzzled), I would have loved to seen it again.
Don't think you can pet phantom animals though lol.

Wow Lefora that is really interesting! I have had one of my furbaby's spirit come and visit me before, but I have yet to simply see the spirit of a dog walking down the street [Shock]

I think we often are just too busy to notice the strange and unusual happenings around us. Glad it was in broad daylight though or you might have been pretty creeped out!
