I couldn't help but think this was funny. I have two, very boisterous younger sisters. We have a good time together, but anyone who ever overheard us would think we were a bunch of loonies. They came over this evening, Halloween, and were snacking on some goodies, laughing, and having a good time. They tend to be pretty loud on these occasions. One, feeling a little more serious, went to the doorway of the guest bedroom and turned rather somber. She was pensively staring in the room, and the conversation turned to ghosts.
We talked for a few more minutes, and the girls hit the candy bowl again before heading out. All of a sudden, the front door swung open by itself. Almost as if to say, "ok ladies, time to leave." They nearly jumped out of their skin! I couldn't help but laugh. I guess my ghost likes her peace and quiet!

They were both pretty shocked, but one more so than the other. The youngest is more accostomed to the paranormal. Of course, a loud expletive rang out when it happened and a chorus of "did you see that?" We have had the doors, usually interior, open and close by themselves occasionally. I think I'm so used to it, I just take it in stride, but the girls were pretty shocked -- not too sure if they wanted to leave me behind, and not too keen on staying! Incidentally, after they left, the lights in the living room started flickering. This morning, as I went through there, I swore I saw a misty shape standing by a chair, but it doesn't really count because I didn't have any glasses on! [Laughing]

Carrie I had to laugh when I read your story.

Ralph has been behaving himself for almost a week. But the other morning Jimmy was being very cranky and giving me a hard time, so while I was working in the yard I asked Ralph to open the door on Jimmy. Jimmy came home, ignored me, went right to Eva's to let the dog out. I watched him come out, lock the door, check it and walk to our garage. I hear Jesse barking like mad, look back across the street and the door is open. [Laughing] I called Jimmy, but he was still ignoring me, so I walk over to him and just point...the look on his face had me in stiches.

When he came back he was trying not to say anything but finally he said "I know you had something to do with this". I just smiled and admitted I had asked Ralph to do me a favor. It helped diffuse a tense situation and I thank Ralph for that. [Colored Smiley]

Yep, these ghosts really seem to be making themselves at home! I bet Ralph gets a real chuckle out of Jimmy's reaction.
I just wish something would happen around my husband. He is never here when anything goes on! Maybe I should have a talk with Granny? [Wink]

If you're going to have a talk with grandma, have her take care of your stalker next time he peaks over you shoulder. I wonder if he knows some of the history of the house that you don't know and maybe that's what he's looking for?

Yikes, Connie! Hadn't thought of that! I doubt it, I kinda get the feeling he hasn't been here that long, because when I've talked to the neighbors about him, they didn't have a clue as to who he was until they started keeping an eye out.
I would love for Granny to make an appearance in front of him! Now that, might scare him off! [Laughing]
