Okay guys maybe some one could interpret this dream. My hubby had it and told me all about it. It really scared him to the point that he couldn't sleep the rest of the night in fear that the dream would continue. So here goes.

He dreamt that he was out of town. He was walking in this town just for something to do. he came upon a abandion church and deciced to go inside. The dream was very vivid he could see that the church had a stairway up to a choir loft and that the pews were crocked and out of order. he also saw the stain glass in color. it wasn't broken even though the church was abandoned. This next part was the thing that scared him. He was just looking around when he saw in a back corner of the church a monk. He was scream at my hubby, but he couldn't hear him since he was a ghost. He decide to get out of the church at this point. He turned to open the door, which was right behind him to leave. When he looked up, his hand had just touched the door knob, he saw the monk right by his side scream at him in silence. The dream ended right as my hubby opened the door.
So what do you think it means??? [Eek!] [Nutty] [Eek!]

Well, geez... that's scary! Did the monk seem angry with him? Was it one long scream, or was the monk essentially cussing him out?

Here's what I found at dreammoods.com-

Church

To see the outside of the church in your dream, signifies sacredness and spiritual nourishment. It is representative of your value system and the things you hold sacred.

To see the inside of a church in your dream, signifies that you may experience some minor setbacks. However, what seems to be nuisances will turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

Monk

To see a monk in your dream, signifies devotion, faith, and spiritual enlightenment.

To dream that you are a monk, symbolizes the introspective aspect of yourself. You need to emotionally withdraw yourself from a situation and regain some control, structure, and order.
--

Scream

To dream that you are screaming, symbolizes anger and fear. It is an expression of your powerful emotions which you have kept pent up inside.

If you try to scream, but no sound comes out, then is suggests that you need to immediately confront some situation. Perhaps you are unable to pinpoint your fears or feelings.

Maybe he needs to have it out with someone? I don't know... maybe someone else will have a better idea. [Wink]

You know this sounds a bit like an anxiety dream. They aren't usually so frightening though. I think that Kells definitions are good. I wonder if the Monk was part of you husband- a symbol of anxiety.

Wow thanks guys I will have to show hubby what you found! Maybe it was anxiety that cause the dream. I asked him what he was thinking about before going to bed and it wasn't anything like his dream, no church or monks. I think he was watching the history channel if I remember right.

As for the monk I believe that he was trying to cuss my hubby out for something. He said that he could see his mouth moving and his face getting really red. But no sound.
Thanks guys for your input!! [Wink] [Smile] [Embarrassed]
