Did anyone else see the footage of Michael Jackson dangling his child over a balcony railing? I was shocked and horrified by his behavior. Is anuyone else as horrified as I am?

I've felt this fellow was sick for a long time -- even before the allegations of pedophillia, etc... There is something about him that just isn't right. What bothers me, is that if average Joe Citizen did something as stupid as dangling an infant over a balcony, Children's Protective Services (or their equivalent) would be all over them in a flash. Considering this is just another "eccentric" celebrity, it is just shrugged off. Just from observation, there are a lot of folks in the entertainment industry that you can tell need some serious help.

First of all...Michael Jackson...are we really surprised by anything he does!? [Roll Eyes]

The latest word on the subject is that he was appeasing the crowds by "showing off" his baby.....he's just a plain freaky! He showed up at court hearing days prior in a surgical mask and carrying an open umbrella... what's up with
that?! He's so many face alterating surgeries that you can't tell him apart from sister Janet sometimes! He started that whole process because he wanted to look like his life long friend and mentor Diana Ross [Eek! 2] Freak! Freak! Freak!

ugh. He is totaly gross and creepy. I'd like to believe that if he had dangled that baby over a balconey here he would have been arrested, but I'm not sure, celebraties get away with an awful lot. The guy makes my skin crawl.

I tell ya I nearly bit my tongue off the first time I saw that baby dangling over the balcony! It didn't even look like he had a good hold on his little one either [Eek!] One slip is all it would have taken! How irresponsible and stupid for anyone, regardless of who they are [Mad]

Saw another picture of him holding one of the older children. This one he was not hanging over the balcony, but he had a towel on his or her head as well! I can just imagine the panic of that poor baby, can't see, no support under his feet, screaming fans below. What a "blankty blank fool!"

And Michael Jackson talks about his own parents being terrible?? He sure isn't 'breaking the chain', is he? For a person who has all of the public attention, he made a very poor choice in doing what he did with his baby. Now, there are apt to be those who will copy him, just because they think it would get them some attention, too. This is aggrivating!!!! GRRRRR!!!!!

I just saw a piece of the footage of him holding the baby over the balcony yesterday - geez! What an arse. He has become such a weirdo over the years... and why so many plastic surgeries!? If he keeps this up, he isn't going to have a nose at all!! His eyes are getting bigger and his nose is disappearing - he looks like a genetic mutant. [Laughing]

The man (or whatever) is very sick. I really get the heebie jeebies when I see him. It's a yucky feeling. He shouldn't be allowed to have children let alone raise them.

I know I hate to see what his kids will turn out like! He's pushing his same weirdness onto them. Let's hope he doesn't start rearranging their faces as he has done his own [Eek!]

Everytime I see the guy I get the heebie-jeebies. He looks so not-natural.
When I saw that footage I was angry. That behavior deserves punishment. He should not be allowed to get away with it. Especially since he is an idol to so many of his fans.
He is only human but he has gained power with all the exposer, money and fan base. And with power comes responsibility. People with that kind of power should be held more accountable than everyone else. If you don't want that kind of responsibility then choose something else.

Nakis, I agree!! I think when someone's name is that well known, and actually has a fan base, then they do need to be held to a greater responsibility for their public actions. Dangling that baby was a travesty. Now, how many other new fathers among the younger generation will pull the same stunt, and some might just lose their grip?? Any loving parent would never put a child's life at risk so deliberately, just to get a reaction from people that they don't even know!!!

Someday soon, Michael Jackson's nose is going to look more like a navel!!!!

This "man" makes me sick. He's always got some darn problem and people just brush it off because he's famous.
I faint from a darn blood clot and my 3 yr old calls 911 and what happens to me? The police call children's services... Imagine if I would swing them from the balcony? if I did something intentional? I'd have my babies taken within minutes! Why the hell does he still have his kid(s)? It's BS that the public is so supportive of such a man who doesn't think he did anything wrong. He put that child's life in great jeopardy, if he was your regular joe, that child would not be with him now, she'd have been taken.

Some parents are just stupid, celebrity parents are even more stupid IMO since they have nannies raise their kids and then act like they have such a hard life! Please! Try being a Stay at home mom and get radioactive for a while, or try working 2 jobs and raise kids like so many moms do! Grrr. No wonder I'm not much of a fan of people who make millions of dollars a year for pretending to work. How difficult must it be to sing or act huh?

Amen, Sistah Nancy!!
What you said about Children's Protective Services is absolutely true. I know of one case of a young man, a teacher, well respected in the community who almost had his child taken from him. It seems the doorbell rang, he set his coffee mug on the table to get it, and his 18 month old scalded herself when she accidentally knocked it over. Her daycare, although they had been informed of the accident notified the authorities. CPS was very nasty to him, and the guy had to go thru a lot of red tape. Another incident with this same organization -- a mother was made to attend parenting classes when a neighbor reported her 15 year old daughter was walking around their quiet, affluent neighborhood for exercise -- the problem? She was unescorted by an adult.
I've known of other situations of horrific abuse in which CPS just turned their backs. The organization needs a huge over haul and the folks who don't do their jobs need to lose them.
Seems to me like the authorities should have been jumping for joy that your 3 year old was sharp enough to know what to do in an emergency situation. Give that tyke some extra cookies and a big ole hug!!

What ticked me off the most about the whole situation is mainly that the cops scared the heck out of Tina-Marie. The way one of them was barging around the apartment.
He assumed that I was a single mother (I lived in low-rental and was on welfare - go figure how perfect it is for them to assume all), assumed that I was doped up on drugs or alcohol (here's me - prissy as can be, gets drunk on one sip of beer ).
You should have seen his face when I picked up the phone and rang up my husband's office!!! That was priceless! "Oh you're uh married?"
The chief of police refused to reprimend his officers for treating me and my kids so awful but the one nice cop came back on another day to see how I was and he brought Tina-Marie a huge teddy bear! It was nice of him to treat us like human beings!

I mean stuff happens when you have kids! We don't become invincible or psychic but you know, things that are done as stupidly as M.J. did, come on! Something's got to give!

a big old phtooey to CPS and they're misguided sense of "what's best for the child".... I don't know about other agencies, but here in Arizona I was appauled to find out that most, if not all of the case workers have NO children. How is it that someone who has no children is going to be remotely qualified to tell me how to raise my own kids? I saw a brief snipet regarding Jackson and his response to Allred demanding he be held accountable." Ahhh, she can go to hell"...... [Eek!] this was followed by statements from his "devout fans"...one woman said " He's a great father and I wouldn't have a problem with him watching my kids" that thought scares the hell outta me! Him as a babysitter (shudder!) [Pooper]
I agree with Carrie...big warm hugs and kisses to your 3 year old for being quick enough to call for help and kudo's to you for teaching her that!

Sorry about the hassle Mamabear. You don't deserve to be judged and treated that way.
But look at it from the cops point of view and put yourself in their place. You got a call about suspected child abuse. The cop doesn't know you. If I was the cop I would have looked over the place with a very discerning eye. I know you don't want see any child hurt by stupid adults and I'm sure that cop didn't either. It's tough. I'd be angry just like you are/were. But he did his job. Like when the cashier checks you signature against the one on your card or asks to see your ID. They're looking after your best interest even though they seem suspicious. Not exactly the same but similar.
