Well everyone is different, religious etc...
So i think there is alot of different opinions etc...

But i have been told from a lady and a man i visit all the time for check up....well they mention its not good to leave candles on all night, should be shut off around at 9pm...Because spirits who walk around at night, i guess when they see a candle at night, they go near it...So its like inviting people to your house...Well she experience that, and she said she heard many voices near her house while the candle was on....

Any of your opinions?!?!?

I personally am against leaving candles on all night because they are a fire hazard unattended. I haven't the faintest idea whether or not they attract spirits.

Candles should never be left burning unattended. That is just good sense for fire prevention. When candles burn down, they get very hot at the base, and can start a fire. Pets, especially cats, can knock them over or (sadly) may even catch their fur on fire, and then they will run through the house, spreading fire to many areas. (Cats are attracted to candles by the movement of the flame and the shadows it makes.) It is much better to play it safe, pets or no pets.

Wax is a combustable material and if it gets to a certain temperature can actually explode. That's why you should never burn them right down to nothing and that's another reason apart from the obvious the candles shouldn't be left unattended.
The what if becomes a what can happen too many times and most fires are preventable.
Great example: Currently Sydney (AUS) is surrounded by bush fires. At the moment the media are saying it's been caused by smokers throwing their butts out. When you're in a hot, drought infested place, tailormades especially need to be put out, not just thrown away.
Consequently many of these fires that are now ravaging homes and killing people could have been prevented. How many would have started because a candle was left burning?

Hey now, I leave a candle burning all night. Of course I'm awake and sitting right next to it.

Ok ok......I'll admit it....I hate the sunlight.

I agree with everyone else, leaving a candle burning is irresponsible. As far as it inviting the paranormal? I really don't know. This is the first time I've heard that being a possibility.

Maybe you need to do an experiment with the candles, Ryan.... but don't leave them unattended. If you believe you are about to fall asleep, blow out all of the candles first. Invite a bunch of friends in, so that there is a better chance of someone staying awake. If you aren't awake, how will you know if the spirits were there, or not?? I don't believe that I have ever heard of candles bringing the spirits to a particular place. Maybe you need to investigate this.

okay, aside from the obvious fire hazzard that we've been concerned with ( and no one means to stomp you about that Ryan [Embarrassed] ) I have to ask myself WHY would you want to invite anything "thing" into your home willingly? I mean what would you do if it was a bad or evil spirit?

I suppose that if you were detirmined to do soemthing like that, an experiment of some sort, you should do something to balance the spirits...like buring a white and black candle
(white for good/black for bad) and that you say a special prayer or incantation that only peaceful loving spirits stop by for a visit? DO let us know what you decide about this subject and if you do the experiement, tell us what happened, okay? [Smile]

Sorry Ryan. I've never heard of that. I wonder why that would happen. Mankind has been using candles for light for millenias. You'd think a lot of spirit attracting would have happened if that were true.

Besides it's a fire hazard to.......... Just kidding.
