IMHO the sorriest book to film scenario is 'the beach'
Why is it that in every film there HAS to be a love scene? even if it has nowt to do with anything?
I think that bridget jone's diary was one of the best.
What do others think?

Zippy I did not see The Beach, but I totally agree about Bridget Jones.

Most book to movies are very dissapointing. Stephen King is a good example of that. But there are a few shining examples of a book becoming a movie, Gone With the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird, Like Water for Chocolate and Gene Sheppard's short stories in A Christmas Story.
