Christmas eve I was sitting out on the screened porch of my wife's grandparents house, reading a book about Battlefield Ghosts. After about 4 or so chapters I hear footsteps in the grass, without even looking up, I say "Back so soon, Honey", thinking it is my wife walking back from her sisters house next door. When no one answered I looked up and no one was there. A bit spooked but I passed it off as my ears playing tricks on me. I went back to reading another chapter or two, then I heard it again, closer. This time I looked up before speaking, again no one there. I put down my book and walk out through the backyard to our car and get my camera. As I pass the clothesline I feel a blast of cool air. It had been breezy so I thought nothing much of it. I picked up my camera and turned it on, batteries were drained. I had just put new ones in that morning and had not used it. I muttered "Drain my batteries will ya". I quickly replaced the batteries and started snapping pics around in the area I heard the noises. Most of the pics showed nothing, then I remebered the cool air blast. I took several shots around the clothesline most showed nothing. Except this one.

Cool pics, Alan!! I think that big orb is the guy who probably got the 'juice' out of your battery. He is certainly a bright one, and has some very distinctive 'guts' that are common in the spirit orbs. I'll bet this was the guy who was rustling the grass, too! LMAO It is good that you got to take some pictures right after the time that the 'disturbances' were evident to you. Great goin'!!

Cool pics [Smile] It must be something with Christmas because this year I got quite a few odd ones myself. There is one with I dont' want to call them orbs but they are something quite similar to what is in this pic all over the place. I think it's a nice thought that someone was visting for Christmas [Smile]

Carrie,
I used to be like that, I used to use my huge 35mm SLR with the huge zoom lens. It was too cumbersome to take with me everywhere so I didn't, and many times I wish I had. Now with this digital camera, its more like "Have camera, will travel" LOL. I keep it with me even if I go to the convenient store. I personally think Florida is one of the most haunted states in the US maybe second to Louisiana. But with St.Augustine being the nations oldest city, and the numerous pre-settlers, spanish expeditions, i.e. Ponce DeLeon, and the many indian tribes that used to inhabit this mild climate state. It's kind of hard to believe that there is any one spot of this state that humans have not touched at one point in time. There is not too far from me in the Tomoka National Forest the ruins of a mission building built in late 1600's or early 1700's. It is under protect as an arcaeological site. Behind chain link fence. Last time I went out there was in daylight and in the heat and humid summer. I got eaten alive by huge bloodsucking mosquitoes. But now since it is cool I may go back and see what I can get. The only draw back is the fence is too far from the actual ruins that my puny lil flash will not be much use at night.

sheesh give me an inch and I take a mile,
been typing away all this to reply to Carrie,
anyway Cameras, never leave home without them.

I need to start taking my camera with me more. Just what I need, something else in my purse! I can pull out a toy dalmation, a wrench, and several shades of lipstick, from one bag, so a camera should fit right in. LOL
Alan, some of the best pics I've taken were in broad daylight. It wouldn't hurt to take some shots both at night and during the day. Missions are infamous for being haunted, so I'm betting you would come out with something. Please let us know when you do!

Of course you may see Kell [Smile] I'll send those out to you in the next day or two. It's actually a series of 3 shots taken one right after another, in one there is like 1 thing the next a million of them and then the next they are all gone... Go figure lol. Anyway I'll send ya an email with them soon.

Cool - thanks, Miranda! [Wink]

[Laughing] Carrie! "A camera should fit right in!"

I agree - I've taken some of my best shots in the daytime. Weird!
