Hello! I'm new here and I live in a haunted house. It has been in my family since 1969 and has been haunted since the mid 1970's. Many people have said there is a portal here. My question is..... can a house have more than one portal?

I would think that it is absolutely possible for a house to have more than one portal in it, especially when you have a home with years of haunted history behind it! My you certainly do not lead a boring life do you [Wink]

Here is a link with some information on portals for anybody who is interested....

Hmm... good question. I've never heard of portals being so close to one another, but then again, we don't know much about how portals work. For example, there seems to be a beginning and and end, so to speak. Like in this house, the hallway seems to be a spook superhighway at times - there has to be an entrance and a re-entrance point, right? Meaning, a point at which they come through to this dimension, and (assuming they don't leave through the same door [Laughing] ) yet another where they re-enter their own dimension. oooooo.... highly confusing! [Nutty]

Suzy, is there more than one point in your house in which you're noticing much of the activity?

Kell, what you said just makes so much sense.
I mean look at residual haunts.
Especially this example here:
I came home from work one afternoon to see a naked woman running from where the kitchen ended/hallway started, seemingly into the hot water cylinder.

Possibly there was a portal in the doorway to the hallway and where the hot water cylinder is.

I was also told that some of these kinds of old houses (like the one I was in at the time), quite often had hot water cylinders put in where old doorways were. The cooking area of the kitchen was an add on to the original house, so the door I may have come through more than likely wasn't the original 'door'.

LOL! No there's never a dull moment around here. You never know what is going to happen next. Most of the activity happens in the hallway that runs past all the bedrooms and ends at mine. We have a little girl that is seen in this area. Sometimes she is just standing there watching me and sometimes she is walking down the hall. She doesn't seem to be replaying anything from times past.
Then there's the basement. I'm told a man stays there and he was a drunk in life and not a very happy one. Our ghosts were never violent, until "something" in the laundry room picked up a glass rabbit and smashed it against the wall. My son got this on audio tape. We also have on tape a voice saying "get out" and then a little girl starts to sob.
We have activity here about every 2 or 3 weeks. Sometimes more often. Never a dull moment.

Mamarotweiller, sounds like your house is really very old or you have at least one very psychic person in your house.
Old houses collect ghosties like they collect cobwebs.
And people who are sensitive attract ghosties like moths to flames.
I don't know for sure but I am of the mind that a house, building or area can have more than one portal.
Have you considered smugding or cleaning the place of the nasty spirits? If they don't really bother you then why bother. But if they start getting violent and breaking things then that's not good.

Hi Nakis!
The house was built in 1958. My parents bought it in 1969. In that time the house had at least 8 different owners/residents. I haven't figured out why yet.
As for someone very psychic living here, I've seen ghosts for many years. My oldest has seen them, especially my dad who died 3 years before he was born. My second son was born with the veil, or caul, and has seen a little girl ghost here. My daughter hasn't seen anything yet, I don't think.
I don't want to cleanse the house to get rid of them. They really don't bother me.......yet. I have the Kentucky Society For Ghost Research coming Jan. 10th and the Louisville Ghost Hunters Society coming Feb.28th. I hope they can get something on film.

I think that people, and animals leave pheramones and also their spiritual finger print in places objects, etc.
I tend to think that when there is violence or any situation where there are high emotions being experienced they may saturate the area or objects.
I also believe that although we experience one moment at a time (unless you are gifted), that maybe areas where earth's magnetic fields, or fields we as yet cannot detect aplify this phenomena to the point that people pick them up.
I believe that once a moment has occurred in space time it forever exists. We just go to the next moment, thus giving the illusion of forward movement.
It's like a canvas. Paint and pictures (in this case events) are continuously painted on it.
Anyways, hope this helps.
