How well does a camcorder work on a ghost hunt? Would my 35mm camara be a better choice? I have never used a camcorder before on one.

Well, I'd say it is 'optional' equipment - your 35mm camera is a must though. [Wink] I understand the ghost hunter's camcorder of choice is the Sony Nightvision, but you have to be careful that you don't mistake bugs for ghosts - the infared light will illuminate them and they're often mistaken for orbs or other 'energy'.

Camcorders with night shot are great!!!! The last investigation here they got an orb flying around in the basement. It didn't just zoom past either, it took it's time, came up from the floor and zigzagged across the room. It was so cool. But we wouldn't have seen it if it hadn't been for the night shot.

I know for a fact that camcorders can pick up orbs. My friend has one, and she was videotaping a party outside in the dark, even with night vision on, she caught an orb, and freaked, because i told her what it was [Nanner Man] [Nerd] And there are ghosts shows on the discovery channel, many, I think everytime a ghost hunter comes in to your house, he'll set up a video recorder.

I've seen some really cool video from ghost hunts, but I think that pictures are easier to evaluate. It would be great if you can take both and compare them.
