Wow, close to home. Dr.Birute Galdikus (has been working with oranutans for 30 years in Indonesia, one of Leakeys threee angels - Dian Fossey, Jane Goodall, and Birute) teaches Primate Behavior at Simon Fraser U. where I am attending. I took the course with her a few years ago. I wonder what she would have to say on this bigfoot question?
I'm a believer.
I sure hope they mount a serious expidition to look for these beings.
With the modern equipment available you'd think they'd be able to find them in a few short months.
Using a broad scan heat sensing equipment flying over known areas. Once you track down the most likely spots you can helicopter in expidition parties into the vincinity and begin tracking.
Throw enough money into the right equipment and personel some results will turn up.
So many cultures have stories about these types of creatures. It can't be pure fantasy.

Did anyone catch the show on Bigfoot on DSC or TLC last night 01/09/03???
It was rather good. It had a lot of information like the article in the link above. But the show had a bunch of scientist and computer experts using state of the art exquipment to analyze sightings and purported film clips of sightings.
But they always present the information in the first 45 minutes and the results in the last 15. But I fell asleep. Dangit. I guess it will be on again.

I have been up to the Seattle area twice in as many years and am making a third trip there in July. I have a relative who lives in Bellevue.
What struck me initially about the surrounding area is how tall and dense the forests are so if indeed Bigfoot exists I can see why it is not spotted more often. I think a dinosaur could hide in those woods.

Good article. Hmmm, I've been in Seattle as well, there is alot of greenery to hide in. I just hope that if they did find Bigfoot it & they would be treated right. Although the fact that they haven't found a body does make you wonder. How advanced would they have to be to stay hidden?
