The other day my brother, his wife and I were just driving around this area looking for artistic things such as silos, bridges, fields, etc to take pictures of...Well we come across this old abandon peanut silo and we all decided it would be awesome if we found a way in! Well, we did...and it was just amazing inside...dark with a little light seeping through! Well, everything was fine excpept when we hit a certain area the temp would drop to ice cold...then it would warm up again! We also felt cool breezes blowing when there was no wind...then they would stop! I wasn't much scared but just excited! We decided to go out b/c whatever was in there must have not wanted us there that is why they made their presence known to us. I don't know much about the old silo...maybe something happened there and the spirits are still there...I just know it was truly an amazing adventure for us!

I took some pictures but I haven't gotten them developed yet...I can't wait to see what is in them if anything...

Kathy, what a great adventure. Did you really feel unwanted? How familiar are you with the area and the history? It will be interesting to see if you got anything on film.

Your story reminded me of my cold spot encounter and the questions it raised. I never had anyone to share this with but I have this great board. I will post it seperately.

Well, guys I did find out some information from the Chamber of Commerce about the old silo...It has been closed down since 1969 b/c a peanut worker was crushed to death in there when one of the pully systems broke and he was trapped underneath of it...Spooky huh? That may be where the cold spots were coming from!

Wow, I kind of figured an accident like that might have happened. It would certainly explain the cold spot and the unwelcome feeling you had.

People around here say there is more to the silo than just the once accident...now that I am curious, I hope to find out more info on what happened there...and I will be sure to let you all know once I find it out!
