I think I could write a book about all the experiences in this house. The day after my Grandfather passed away. I was home with my cousin only at about 10:am, when we hear the front door open and slam exactly like my Grandfather would do it, then we heard his steps which were very loud walking in the 1st floor and then going up the stairs, then we hear the door to his room slam shut like he would do it. At first I thought somebody had broken into the house. So I climb on the roof because we had windows on them so I could see what was going on upstairs, after seeing no activity, I grabbed a stick and continued to inspect the house. Well their was nothing!!! I'm pretty sure it was my grandfather continuing his routine from beyond!!! This house even before my Grandfather died scared off a lot of people. When we went back to my country my father started his business in the basement of the house and one day he was interviewing somebody, so he went upstairs to get something and he left the guy alone, well something slapped the guy out of nowhere. Obviously the guy almost had a heart attack and refused to work there EVER!!! There was also a man in a trenchcoat that seemed to haunt the place. A lady we rented a room to saw him standing outside her window one night and moved out the next day. I saw the shadow of a man like that in a dream but it was very strange it seemed very real to me. And then to top it off one day I was heading home around 10:pm through the middle of the street (for safety) and I see a man in a trenchcoat just standing there in the middle of the street staring at me. At first I thought it was my father, so I started calling him and running towards him so he would wait for me, well he calmly walked towards the house and disappeared, it was not my father because I checked everywhere and he was not home. And of course later I asked him and he didn't know what I was talking about.
Like I said, I could write a book about this house.

Indeed, it does sound like a very active place! The sounds you heard just after your grandfather died very welll could have been him. [Eek Smile]

The trenchcoat man sounds a little spooky. [Nerdy] For some reason, I don't think that's your grandfather. Trenchcoat man was seen prior to grandfather's death, yes?

Is it an old house AW?

Not all houses that have a lot of activity are old but old houses do tend to have a lot more activity than newer ones. The last place I lived in had many ghosties. Some who only made themselves known on rare occasions, some often, and in many different ways. Some were only passing through. Very rarely did I encounter one with a bad attitude. I think the ones that stayed there helped keep the bad ones away.
It was spooky at times but most of the time it was rather nice.

It's possible that the person who was interviewed and slapped would not have been a good person to have around. And the ghostie was only trying to lend 'a hand'. =)

Az and Kell have a place to post your stories.

If you don't plan on writing that book anytime soon you could post some of those stories for us to read. =)

And check out the rest of the site if you haven't already. They've done a phenomenal job creating it. And they are always making it better. =)

Actually my Grandparents had this house built in the late 1960's and before that I don't think there was anything there. The man in the trenchcoat was appearing long before my Grandfather died. The house itself has horrible energy. I hope I can figure out how to post the pictures!! I think one of the problems was that my very eccentric Grandmother and Aunt had 2 skulls that they called "The Friends" and each one had a candle in the middle always lit. They would pray to their souls for the protection of the house (Who would brake in anyway with those skulls lit up close to the window?) and to bring my Grandfather home safely because he would love to stay out drinking. I can't tell you how freaky this would seem to me when I was 6. I wouldn't leave the room at night because I thought they flew around the house!! Anyway besides this issue. There were constant fights between all the family members, the house was dark and always had a very dense energy. I remember one day my bed was shaking. I continued sleeping because I thought it was an earthquake but nothing mayor. Well there was no earthquake. Also in the room I was sleeping in my teens there would always be a puddle of water under the bed out of nowhere! My mother slept in this same room when she married my father in the 70's and she said that she would hear water falling from the ceiling . Then she would check and it was nothing. What do you think of that???
