Last summer me and some people were wading through a creek. It was very shallow and we were down a little ways from a small waterfall. We were heading down that way. Anyway as we were walking I heard something to my right. I had my camera with me. At the time I was trying to capture strange things on film. Like ghosts or orbs. Well I had a feeling so I held my camera up in the direction of the sound and snapped a picture. I didn't even look through the view finder. I just held the camera up in the direction of the sound and snapped the picture. Well when I got the pictures developed I noticed a face. It looks like a man with a beard. It also looks like a woman right above him. I then noticed what looked like another face and a dog. I KNOW there was not a dog there when I took the picture. Anyway here is the link to see the picture. Let me know what you think.

That's a really cool picture. It's so hard to tell with trees because the sun reflecting on the leaves does creat illusions. I noticed the floppy eared dog the most, he's pretty cute. Thanks for posting it for us. =)

You saw the dog? I just posted this at another site I go to and some of the people said they didn't see a dog. Thanks for the reply.

Oh yes I saw the dog, I thought he was the best part of the picture, his little face is quite clear. The faces to the left I wouldn't rule out illusion because they are so indistict, but the object higher up doesn't look like it belongs there naturally, though it's too small to see what it is exactly. Did you notice the small cross to the left of the picture? I'm not sure if it might just be a visible part of a wooden fence but it really looks like a cross.

I think I saw the little dog face that you mentioned. The other faces are very hard to examine, since there is so little detail. We also have to keep in mind that if you look at trees, brush, and even clouds long enough, you can often find all sorts of faces in them, just from the natural random patterns that they create. But, I do understand the feeling of eagerness at capturing a picture of something paranormal. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us. Never stop trying to get spirit pictures, because the more pictures you take, the better your chances are of getting something really great! Hang in there! =)

That picture is fascinating the puppys face is as clear as anything. The face on the left side of the picture looks quite sad if you really study it I couldn't make out the other face though. It would be interesting to find out if anyone lost a dog like that in the area.

I think maybe the dog got hit. There is a dirt road on the other side of the trees. I know it is really easy to make shapes out of clouds and trees and stuff. But to it didn't take long to see these. The face of the man with the beard popped right out at me. For me it takes a little bit of imaganation to see shapes.

I think to be honest if they want to be seen then they will show themselves to the right people at the right time. Only people who cant see them say that they are shadows or fluff on the lens. Never let anyone put down your beliefs. [Colored Smiley]

Lyn, just so you know... no one is 'putting down' anyone's beliefs here. Let me explain a little bit. Our interest in the paranormal looks not only at beliefs and feelings, but also the aspects of finding scientific proof of the existance of spirits. That includes analysis of photographs done specifically for ruling out any other explainable causes for an anomaly or feature appearing in the photo. There are other tests, too, for taking a closer look in a graphics program and manipulating a photo to further analyze what is in it. But, this has nothing to do with putting down what anyone believes.

I personally believe very strongly in the existance of ghosts/spirits in many forms. Our house has spirits in it which we have seen evidence of in photographs, viewed them with the naked eye, and I have even had one tug on my blouse which was witnessed by another family member who saw my blouse move as if tugged by an unseen force. They are definitely there. It is just tough to get a good, convincing photograph of them sometimes. So, taking more pictures increases the chances of getting a photo will show an obvious and unmistakable example of the paranormal. We just have to be careful about reaching a conclusion about a photo before we rule out all of the possible things that could cause the anomaly. [Wink]

I hope that this clarifies things a little bit. We don't intend to put down anyone's beliefs. Everyone's beliefs and feelings are important. We can all learn about spirits together. =)

I'm sorry I wasnt refering to anybody here,I meant people she may show the photo to in the future and may try to tell her its a double print or something as they did my friend. She was convinced that she had a picture of a ghost as she had always believed in them. But people told her she was being silly and she destroyed the photo and never spoke of it again. I am so sorry that I didn't put myself across properly and I hope that I haven't caused offence. I promise to make myself clearer in future.

Lyn, no problem at all!! =) As we get to know you better, we will understand your way of speaking better, too. That is dreadful that your friend destroyed her picture over someone telling her it was silly.

I just kind of wanted to familiarize you a little bit with our way of examining pictures, and how we try to determine if what we are seeing may indeed be paranormal. I encourage people to keep on taking those pictures, because you just never know what you might capture.

But, please, not to worry... no offense taken here. [Wink]
