Yesterday morning I had just gotten into my truck to go to work. I noticed these bright pinpoint lights flashing just over some pine trees in the distance. I didn't think much of it other than that they were very clear and precise. There are a lot of planes that fly over my house since I live next to an Air Reserve base. But these lights were clearer than normal. Exceptionally bright and clear. But still nothing too out of the ordinary.
I expected, as aircraft do, them to go in a line. But they started flashing not in a pattern you would expect from a moving aircraft. Then all of a sudden there was about a dozen flashes happening almost at once. I've never seen an aircraft do that before. Then I really took notice at how very bright, clear and precise the flashes were. They appear to be happening not too much higher than the tree tops and not much farther away.
It was very pretty and very strange.
Has anyone else seen something like this?
All the lights didn't have any color. They were all clear light like you would expect from a clear light bulb (as opposed to white).

It was a very clear cold morning. About 6am. Dawn was just beginning to break. It was in the single digits for temp..

Nakis, that is just weird! Amazing, but weird! I had that one episode with the odd lights a few months back, but nothing since then. I guess it is possible the military is experimenting with some nifty new aircraft. It would be interesting to know if there have been any UFO reports in your area recently.

Very interesting Nakis...I have seen lights similar to what you described here before...but they are mainly in the late evening hours...I wonder what it could possibly be?!

wow! do you think they were ufo's?

they say that air bases have all sorts of new technologies that no one knows about yet. maybe it was something like that because of your proximity to an air base. gives me the creeps to think about it. I'd rather thing it was a flying saucer with little green men in it rather than our friendly government playing with new and dangerous toys.

A few years back a man was absolutely terrorized one night by a green light that followed him on I-95 near my home. he nearly wreaked his car. we have a big air base very near us. I wonder sometimes.

Wow, Nakis, that sounds like it was quite a sight! It really would make you wonder about it, since it didn't look like aircraft as most of us know it to look. Too bad you didn't have a camera with you, in case someone else from your area has seen them, too... or maybe even someone elsewhere in the world.

It reminds me of some lights that were seen over Phoenix a few years back. They were quite big, globes of white light, flying in a 'V' formation. Lots of people saw them, and the govt. tried to explain them away as weather balloons. Yeah.... five or six of them in formation?? Then they just disappeared. I thought it was quite strange, actually. Do weather balloons glow like a light from within? I wouldn't think so. It was completely dark outside.

I tend to think it wasn't a UFO. More like an atmospheric disturbance or some sort of energy/electrical phenomenom.
It was only a few flashes at first and then there was many nearly all at once. It would be a very unusual craft if it was one. But then I've seen a couple of unusual 'things' in the sky.

I'm thinking that this was electrical in nature. Like static electricity. It was a clear, dry and cold morning. The lights were very bright and crisp and just about some pine trees. I've never heard of it before but it may have been a field of static electricity built up around the pine trees and maybe the first rays of sunlight triggered them to spark in light.

Or a bunch of faeires were having some fun. =) [Laughing]

Unfortunately I was in my truck warming it up so I couldn't hear a thing. I wish I could have gotten pictures but historically I'm not very good at capturing fleeting shots of nature or ghosties. I tried capturing the Leonid meteor shower but didn't do well at all. And every time I try to capture a ghost on film I get pictures of everyday objects. Sigh.

Were they too small to be parachute flares? The airforce uses these to light an area and they do have some that burn clear.

I don't think so. They were flashes like the strobing of an airplane light. Pretty fast. But they were very low, flashing in a way that would be impossible for typical aircraft and over a residential area.
I hope the air force is not dropping flares over residential areas.

When I was about 8 years old, I used to read till the wee hours every night. One night something told me that I should get up and look out my window, which overlooks the forest behind my house. I did, and what I saw were strange lights in the sky. First it was a MASSIVE red cigar-like shape barely above the treeline. As I watched it hover, it split into about 6 or 7 smaller portions, each of which turned to a yellow glow, before they left over the woods. The next day, I found a crack in the *outer* pane on my window and a mirror-image crack on my mirrored closet door that was facing the window that night. It was so spooky. My mom blamed me for the cracks and told me that I saw weather balloons, but I know what I saw and what I did that night. I do live in a "hotspot" county for UFOs. Since then, I have had some strange, very realistic dreams about visitors in the night, complete with "souvenirs" when I wake up. I think they have come back, but I haven't caught them in the air again. I've never been hurt or anything, but my dreams are soooooo real it's scary! I don't know what to think.

Wow JadeFishy!!!
I've had strange occurances like that when I was a kid. Unexplained physical phenomenom like the cracked window and mirror.

Mom's don't want to believe their child is being exposed to something beyond their control so believing in UFOs like that is very hard to do.

Souveniers?? What kind of souveniers?

It's always weird little things, like if I was eating or drinking something in my "dream," then I can still taste it when I wake up....or if I hurt myself, then I have a bruise or a scratch in the morning. Spooky things that could either be my imagination playing tricks on me or maybe something significant.

I have never been hurt by any outside forces, but I have a knack for running into things or actually scratching myself with my fingernails.

Jadefishy, it sounds like you have had some very interesting encounters with alien entities! The crack in the outer window, but not in the inner window pane? I am assuming you had either double-pane windows, or were they single-pane storm windows hung outside of the regular window? Either way, it is very odd that the inner window wasn't cracked, but the mirror across the room was cracked in the same way. Was the inner window closed the entire time that you were looking out? I am assuming so... since the storm windows were usually used during colder months, and with double-pane, you have to open both at once, if they open at all. If it was during cold weather, I doubt that your inner window was opened, which would probably mean that a child couldn't break the outer one without breaking the inner one, too... and then, there is the mirror to explain.... very thought provoking.

They're the super-thick double-pane kind....heavy duty. [Wink] Which just makes it scarier! lol

Wow, that does make it scarier... no way that anyone could break the outside window. And, the thought of what kind of force, or whatever, that it took to break a thick pane of glass really makes you wonder about what you saw. And, how did it break only one pane of the window, and leave one undamaged, but still break the mirror? YIKES!!! [Eek!]
