I get good results using both a digital and my 35mm, so it is absolutely possible to catch anomalies on both. True, it's nice to have the negative in hand, but some things you just cannot mistake as being the real deal.
There is a lot of talk about "pixelization" when using a digital - this is what anti-digital cam folks use as their reason for putting them down. Well, I have some samples of said pixelization and there isn't a chance that pixelization can be mistaken for many of the anomalies caught on digital cams.
Just my humble opinion. =P
Keep on using what is working best for you - experiment! Sorry, I don't have any video tips for ya - I haven't used ours to try and catch ghosts.... yet.
