Last night I invited a woman over that I had never met in person, only from one of the ghost groups on the internet. She had heard that my house was haunted and wanted to see it. So we spent quite a bit of time in the basement. All 3 of my kids were with us at one time or another.
After 2 hours of investigating we went upstairs and listened to the tape that I had placed on the dryer the whole time.
My little ghost girl was very talkative last night. We have her on tape saying "that's not what I like" and then another time she says "get" and we can't make out the other word she says. We have her on tape saying"he he he" not with a long e but the short e sound. And the freakiest thing of all is we have a man's voice yelling "Police!" . Now why would a ghost man yell for the police??? And it's so clear too.
Anyway, that's just the first side of the tape. I still have to listen to the second side. I'll let you know if I get anything else.

I would love to hear your tape!! Would there be a way you could send it to me or something??? I get EVP's all the time, in my cousin's house, of all different people saying different things, when we are the only ones there. So don't feel bad!!

Wow! You got a lot this time, Suzy! If you'd like, once you get them on the computer and edited, feel free to send them to me and I'll put them up on the site with your other EVPs. [Big Grin]

Welcome to SpiritKeep, Brauvura! Sounds like you have a nice collection too! If you'd like to send yours in as well to be posted on the SpiritKeep website, you're welcome to email them to me. =)

Kell, you've got mail! Thanks a bunch for posting them. If it sounds like she is saying something else, other than what I thought, let me know what you think she is saying ok?

I find EVP's facinating. And would like to get some myself. However, I am a fraidy cat. [Laughing] I have a tough time listening to them online. Especially at night. I don't know why they creep me out. They really do. [Nerdily Unsure]

I'm voting for "Get Help".

Pandora,
I used to have to wait until I was a work to listen to EVPs because I didn't have speakers at home, only earphones and listening to EVPs through earphones just sent chills throughout my body. The sound reverberated through my head like they were right in the room with me. [Shocked]

I haven't listened to them yet. But I have to agree with Connie and Pandora, I dont' like to listen to them alone or at night. [Eek!]

Ya know what I was thinking though....Damian had said that it sounds like the little girl says "Get help" which immediatly made me think of the fact that theres a man's voice saying "Police" Maybe he was answering her? Or calling for help after being asked? What do you guys think?

I'm going to give it a listen when I get a chance.

This could be a residual haunting - that's when an emotional or stressful event is recorded on an area. They probably aren't talking to you, just repeating what was said when the event was taking place.

Police!
That's Not What I Like
Get Out (?)
Just Turn On The Light
Get Out
Kill Me Now
Stop Fighting

Don't those words remind you of a rape or some sort of molestation?

Ahhhhhhh! Good work Connie and Trinity. I think you guys may have hit on something. That particular group of EVPs does seem to fit together in a odd way. (I need to look at the dates again!) I think it most resembles molestation because of: "That's Not What I Like" and "Just Turn On The Light." Kinda spooky when you think about it. [Nerdily Unsure]

I wonder how much research Mamarottweiler has done on the house?

OMG! I just listened to the evp's....cre-epy [Eek!] (yes I listened to them at night..but I'm not alone [Wink] ) I literally got the chills while listening. I have to agree, it does fit in with a molestation...which IS very creepy when you think about it. The one that got me the most was the "get out" followed by the girl crying and saying "no" Whoa! I would love to know more about the history of that house.

Wow you all!!!!!!!!! I never thought of that, rape or molestation. Playing over and over again in time. That is so sad.
I've done a lot of research on this house, but unfortunately I can only get names. No info on if they had kids. There are birth records at the library. It would just take a lot of digging.
There has always been very bad vibes in the back of the basement in the laundry room. VERY bad vibes.
You all have come up with some great stuff!! Any way that you know of that I can find out about the doctor who supposedly committed suicide here? His name is Dr. Waldo Esbarza, and his wife Diane. They lived in this house in 1962 and he was a doctor at the old St.'s Mary & Elizazbeth Hospital. I can't find any record of his existance except that phone book from 1962.

Keep in mind too, that it wouldn't necessarily have to be their own children - there are nieces, nephews - heck, even neighborhood kids!

Suzy, try the local library or archives and look through all the old newspapers of the day. Look for his obit and any stories surrounding his death. I would also look at any news that was going on prior to his death. Old newspapers are usually on microfilm and fairly easy to search. It is time consuming though.

Good luck!
