One of our local legends in Buffalo involves Goodleburg Cemetery. Well, I finally had a chance to investigate it. My group took many photos and tried for EVPs, but we came up empty-handed. One investigation is simply not enough to give up and denounce it as an urban legend, so we are now planning a return trip.
Another thought- I'd really like to recommend a site by a local paranormal author. His books deal mostly with Western New York, but the information they contain is of value to all who are interested in the paranormal. Visit his site at http://www.masonwinfield.com[/URL] I hope you enjoy his books as much as I do.

I'm sorry that you didn't get anything on your investigation but I think your right that it doesn't rule anything out just yet. Please let us know how your return trip turns out. What is the legend of this cemetery?

Thank you for the link. I read a lot and I'm always on the lookout for tips on authors. I have to look around the site some more but so far it looks really interesting.

That's too bad about the investigation not turning up anything. I wish you luck on your next trip! I'm curious too about the legend, here's what I found:

For those of you who checked out the links above, please understand that much of the provided information is to be considered incorrect. The cemetery may be haunted, but the "abortion doctor" story is most likely (99%) just urban legend. No historical documents exist to corroborate the fact of any doctor residing across the street. The cemetery also contains many more graves than the websites state.
I ahve much more information on this particular site, way too much to list here. Feel free to e-mail me for more info if you are interested.

Pete, I don't know about the first link but I'm sure that at AAG they would be happy to have information from you about the cemetery.

Most of us prefer to correspond on the message board and we would be happy to read some of the information that you have gathered.

Thanks for updating us on the legitamacy of the legend. I kinda had a feeling part of it wasn't true. Yes, we're happy to hear more, should you release the info. =)
