I don't know if anyone caught Greta Van Susteren's program on FOX tonight, but she was interviewing a psychic hired by Scott Peterson's mother a few months ago. I was impressed by the woman, she seemed very caring and honest and appeared legitimate. According to the psychic, the Peterson's sent her a sweatshirt and a shoe belonging to Laci. She concluded that Laci had been hit on the head by an object, rolled into a rug, and had been dumped near a park area with a gravel road.
Undoubtedly, her report, also sent to police, hit pretty close to where Laci was found.
The really interesting part came at the end of the brief interview -- Greta asked her if she "saw" who killed Laci. The woman replied that she had not wanted to "see" the killer, but could not help doing so, and had from the beginning. She confirmed that it was a man, but I noticed that was the one area she really hedged on answering. When asked if she had passed the information on to authorities, she stated that she had given that information to the police, but not to Scott Peterson's family. Anyway, it was pretty interesting! Not so much in what was said, but what was not said.

I find that reall interesting too. She may not have wanted to tell the woman that she saw her son as the murder but also she might have been concerned about legal ramifications of accusing someone. It's hard to tell.

On a side note I saw on the J.V.P. show a couple of days ago that he did a reading for the mother and stepfather(?) of Alexis S. Patterson, the girl that dissappeared about a month before Elizabeth Smart. Sadly he had bad news for the parents and was able to contact the little girl. He said that he got the feeling that it was a man who took/murdered her that lived near by and had done it before. He was able to give a general location of where her body is and offered to go out there to help them find it. I don't know if that has been done or not but Alexis is still listed on the FBI missing persons page, so either they haven't gone yet or they weren't able to find her.

Well, I would guess that the psychic on the Peterson case may well have given a very sanitized version of what she saw to Scott's family. I think that she recognized this as a very high profile case, and being too direct in her accusations might get her into some trouble... from several angles. The fact that his mother hired the psychic makes it sound like mom may have had some doubts about his innocence, and maybe she had hoped that the psychic would put that out of her mind as one of those nagging little questions that disturb your sleep, etc.. Kinda my thoughts about it. I will bet that Scott's family will put 2 and 2 together about the psychic giving a different, more detailed story to the FBI, and that she did get a glimpse of the killer. Of course, mom is apt to be quite upset that she paid for the psychic, and then didn't get a straight story from her... What was not said on Greta's show does indeed speak volumns!

Too bad that their seems to still be no progress made on the Alexis case.... perhaps the information about the location was entirely too general... I know that it sounded so hopeful when he offered to go with them to that area where he felt she would be found, but actually locating her body (if she is deceased, and I believe she is) is a monumental task, unless J.V.P. can come up with some further details. Sometimes, things like that just don't seem to come through as clearly as we would hope. Perhaps if they were to take some necrosearch dogs to the area (trained in finding human remains), they might come up with some better information. I know that Alexis' family wants some sort of closure on this.... and it has to be so hard, not knowing what really happened to her. =(
