So went the opening words of a local Saturday night horror movie host from years back... [Big Grin]

I'm new to this board and would like to say hello and always in the mood for scary stuff. =)

Hi Ghostdancer! Welcome to SpiritKeep! =)

I'm quite fond of Tombstone. I need to make my way down there again one of these days - soon!

Glad you've joined us. Enjoy!

KellKell,

I live pretty close to Tombstone and I have some related material to post on Tombstone on the Ghosts and Spirits page.

Been there quite a few times and like other historic areas it has it's share of "haunts".

Yep, do a lot of ballroom dancing, but on the social level. I'm not into the competitive stuff. =)

A ghost towns section? Cool! I've been visiting and exploring ghost towns for nearly 26 years now. [Cool]

Hi Ghostdancer, and welcome to SpiritKeep! It is great to have another Arizona ghost town enthusiast here! I, too, have been to many ghost towns in Arizona over the past 35+ years. Tombstone is a favorite of mine, and I will be anxious to see what you have to add to our Ghosts and Spirit's section. Gosh... even our beagle's name is Doc Holliday. LOL Anyway, it is wonderful to have you, and I hope you enjoy yourself here at SpiritKeep!

I love ballroom dancing... I watch the competitions every time there is one on TV. I used to ballroom dance.... on roller skates, but never just dancing. I never learned to do it without wheels on my feet. =)

azspirit,

You also in Tucson?

Earlier I made a post in the Ghosts and Spirits section on Tombstone ghosts.

I think I've been to most of this state's better known ghost towns - Pearce, Gleeson, Courtland, Jerome and Ruby near Nogales where my great grandfather was the postmaster from 1937-40. I've also been to sites in New Mexico, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and will visit some in July in Idaho and maybe Nevada on my return trip from the Seattle area.

Here's a great site:

www.ghosttowns.com[/URL]

I have a lot of photos posted there. I have two large albums of ghost town photos alone.

(Don't think this site has a "reply with quote" feature; at least I don't see one.)

We are in Phoenix, and I have been here since I was 8 years old. I haven't visited any ghost towns outside of Arizona, but loads of them in the state. Some of the ghost towns I have visited include Tombstone, Galeyville, Sunnyside, Paradise, Fort Bowie, Camp Rucker, John Slaughter Ranch, Dos Cabezas, Pearce, Courtland, Gleeson, Fairbank, Millville, Charleston, Bisbee... and many more between Phoenix and Prescott, including Jerome & Wickenburg, of course. I have also been treasure hunting in Skeleton Canyon and Guadalupe Canyon, and other areas in SE AZ. I am also into photography.

I can see that we are apt to have many great subjects to talk about! Looking forward to getting to know you!
Again, welcome aboard!

I have been to all those sites mentioned azspirit including Skeleton Canyon, but excepting for Guadalupe Canyon. I have photos in each of those sections on the ghosttown.com website. The ones for Dos Cabezas are all mine except for one.

Hi Ghostdancer and welcome to Spiritkeep!
Hope you enjoy yourself here.
I used to ballroom dance years ago, in Detroit. I was quite young and my partner was 70 year old widower! He taught me everything I know LOL! I really enjoyed it, it is fun.
Again welcome

Hey there Ghostdancer! Welcome to Spiritkeep! Hope you enjoy. I am jealous of all you Arizonians. I love it there, and want to move there so badly. Chicago weather is not very fun at all. [Roll Eyes]
