Here is a link to a news article I just found. Apparently a group of scientists took people to places that were reported to be haunted without telling them about the haunted reputation of the places. These people experienced 'ghostly' things [Shocked] and the scientists assume that it has to be the appearance of the places. Nothing to do with the fact that ghosts might actually exist. [Mad] I'd love to hear any one elses opinion on this study. As for me, with all the things that I have experienced in the last year and a half, I KNOW that ghosts exist. I hate to break it to that scientist but the reason that mediums can tell what parts of a building are haunted without having been there before is because the 'ghosts' are trying to get their attention. Sorry, maybe I should have put this in Vent-O-Rama. Been a long year. [Nutty] [Pooper]

Regardless of evidence, there are going to be some people who stick by the old "there are no such thing as ghosts" theory. [Sigh]
Others, although they have not witnessed anything themselves, will be a little more open minded. Thankfully, my husband falls into this category!
I've read everything from theories about some individual's brains picking up electromagnetic waves and making them hallucinate to people who see ghosts have mental problems, or they are simply mistaken in what they perceive as a paranormal experience. [Roll Eyes]
Frankly, until someone has experienced something like this first hand, it is hard for the reasonable mind to buy into. However, once it is experienced and the individual knows there is no logical "scientific" explanation, it does leave no doubt in your mind. I would love to invite those scientists in that study to one of my former homes. [Big Grin]
