From time to time I've heard stories about the White House supposedly being haunted; some say the ghost of Abe Lincoln has been encountered there.

A large black cat is said to appear at the capitol steps just before some major event and I think one of those was just right before the asassination of JFK in 1963.

I've read about that. There have been stories about the black cat appearing to roam the halls of the capitol building before any national tragedy occurs. It has also been said that the security guards in the capitol swear that the statues in the main rotunda have been seen moving around as if dancing. That'd be too much for even me to take!

Yep, I've heard of it too. I believe that cat is in the Capitol building basement, though I suppose there may be reports of it roaming the halls too. About statue hall, I have trouble shollowing that one, but hey, who knows!
