What I keep wondering is if there's any idea on who the hit man was that murdered Bugsy Siegel in Beverly Hills in 1947 and I wonder if he's still alive.

They never discovered who the hit man (men)were nor did they ever determine who ordered the hit. Here's a site that discusses his murder in graphic detail and there is a picture of the corpse as well as theories on why he was killed and who was responsible.
