I don't know how many of you like to tool around ebay (one man's trash is another man's treasure) =P , but has anyone noticed how many 'haunted' items are for sale on there anymore? It seems to have all started a while ago with the 'haunted' painting of the little boy. I'm not saying that a ghost can't bind itself to an object (I know first hand that it can), but it seems like every other auction claims to be cursed or has a ghost attached to it. Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

I think that folks are just scheming. They saw all the attention that the painting got and figured that they'd go for it too. Some folks will buy anything if it has a story behind it.

Has anyone seen the Haunted Pizza Box?? It's so funny. The bidding starts out at .88 if anyone is interested. I'll have to cruise over and grab the link. I personally am rather sick of haunted dolls, whiskey flasks, jar, painting etc etc etc

I agree, I think much of it is nothing but pure scam because the sale of 'haunted items' has gotten so much attention (the painting), others decide to get in on it as well. All I can say is Buyer Beware! (of the scam, not the haunt!)

Has anyone Read about the "Ghost in a Jar" that was on ebay? Do ya'll think it's true? Some one has made a web site for fans of the ghost in a jar. This is getting a little weird!!!

I"ve read about the ghost in the jar and as with everything else haunted on ebay I don't quite buy it. Did you see that he is now offering audiotapes concerning the ghost in the jar and you also get a picture of the jar? He's asking 9.95 and has 100 of them. He says that it is interviews done about the jar and something that his wife recorded while he was sleeping. Something about him talking in a strange language. Sometimes I wish I was more creative cause it seems some of these folks are making a killing off this stuff. 9.95 a pop and 100 to sell. That's some nice cash for very little work.

Personally, if I had a ghost, which I have several of them, I wouldn't sell them for any price.
